It's funny that you assume that I assumed it based on that conversation. I don't assume it. I have decided that it is probable based on a lot of things, many of which happened years ago.

I've shat all over Destiny in other threads, but I have to thank the man for hosting probably some of the most hilarious and fucked up games I've ever seen.

Back when I played guild wars a few friends and I would go into high end pvp and just run cheesy broken builds and when the try hards would rage and call us bad we would say the same things "LOL WHO WON?"
Then he brags about being better in real life... What is easier than that? Call the persons profession pointless and say you will make more money and they will be burned out at 40.
And he has been doing stupid shit like this since BW. He has had years to build up stupid things to say in arguments especially when you build a persona like that people are gonna flame you all the time.
Just because you can't imagine trolling this hard doesn't mean people don't have the willpower/patience/idiocy to do it.

The thing which has me skeptical of that being his "troll persona" is that he used quite a few details from his life which were apparently real, if he was simply hardcore trolling, which is still possible, I would hope he would at least have the rationale to stay away from that kind of stuff when 10k people are listening. It's just poor judgment on his part.

CombatEX seems to do some douchey stuff at tournaments like one at his university. Something about jumping out of his seat to look at someone else's screen.
So there's definitely a large body of evidence, online and offline.

You're looking way too much into this. Personality disorders do exist, and there are people like Combat who act like that naturally in real life. I'm pretty sure he didn't spend hours writing a script for a planned 5 hour hilarious skype convo with Destiny and friends. People really need to stop using the word "trolling" when to describe anything that's different from the norm.
