I agree, this is probably the most constructive post about Milkies' casting ability or voice that i've seen. Its the only one that doesnt say "i have a problem," or "i dont have a problem and neither should you"

agree with the 2 guys.
i want to give her a chance and infact it was quite decent after i changed this settings.
it literally made my ears feel bad. i had to put down me headset evry few minutes to relax . its not her fault and others might be fine with it. but it was very uncomfortable for me and made it hard to understand what she said at times.
so i got a problem with her voice and isntead of bitching i fixed it myself and happily watched the stream from then on. i posted this since judging from the comments others felt the same way. dont think thats rude in any way.
btw thx for the positive comments <3

Becuase all it becomes is a bunch of people who, if they didn't read all these threads about kelly, wouldn't have jumped on the bandwagon. You guys would have just listened to the casts, and a much smaller percentage of people would be bitching about it.
These are the same thousands of people who tune in to watch Destiny orgasm when he gets a couple of baneling mines off and trolling about, you're trying to tell me that all of them would have had a legitimate concern from the get go? thats just not going to be the case.
You guys are bashing somebodys voice, thats one hell of a low blow to just constantly go after something that is a part of the person. What do you mean she shouldn't take offense? If this shit were about you and you read 20+ people saying LOL THIS IS SUCH A GREAT FIX LOOOL TY, that you wouldn't take offense to that? The amount of backseat driving that goes on in these threads about kelly is getting to be pretty obscene.

Gotta try this out next time. Today was actually the first time I considered turning off the stream and trying to find a Korean one. Not only because of the pitch but hopefully this will help at least a little.

i still dont see your problem.
im not bashing on her in any way. her voice ,be it cause of goms audio settings in the studio or the voice itself , is not comfortable for some people.
now instead of judging her on how her voice sounds(which for me atleast made it harder to understand her, was completly fine after i changed this) , bitching or muting i fix what my problem was and will judge her based on her ability as a caster.
and is i said i think she did ok and i actually see quite some potential in the dynamics between her and tastosis.
ofcourse its not nice to read that people dont like how you sound. but if you are a caster you have to expect some critics(look at all the shit tastosis got so far). and if you are worried about her how about talking abouit it in all the countless pages of totally random and unconstructive QQ instead of here where i just want to cut out one potential problem so people can happily watch code A and judge her by her skills and not her voice.if anything this helps her

I don't get why you wouldn't be allowed to criticise someone for their voice when they are working with their voice.
Mindless bashing is one thing, this wasn't anywhere close to that.

People did have this legitimate concern from the getgo, from as soon as she was announced as a Gom caster people said she was an awful choice.
It was my first time hearing her, and probably so for the majority of people since she apparently only casts SEA events. I wasn't going to assume she was good or bad, and as it happens she's bad.
I don't think thrusting her up on the main stage was the right thing to do. People are obviously going to be apprehensive about a person they haven't heard cast going from obscurity to a GSL caster.
If more people knew about her, say from casting craftcups and shit like that, do you think the masses would all be chanting her name when it was announced that Gom wanted new Code A casters?

wow such an awful thing to suggest=[ people are way overreacting about her voice and i hope shit like this doesnt get her down if she reads it
your entitled ot your opinion of course but i dont see what your trying to do posting something that is pretty much a personal attack on the girl

your entitled ot your opinion of course but i dont see what your trying to do posting something that is pretty much a personal attack on the girl It's her job. She gets paid for her voice. If it sucks, people will complain. I don't understand the problem. If people were making fun/criticizing her about anything else, it definitely wouldn't be okay especially because she reads the forums. But it's not personal, it's business. And besides, this thread isn't meant to be about criticism but about fixing the high pitch which can be problematic.
People criticize Tasteless and Artosis all the time. Were you there on the threads defending them, saying that because they read the forums, we shouldn't criticize them? If not, I think there's a problem.

no, all that did was speed up how fast people realized that she's quite hard to understand. you're seriously gonna tell me that if it was never announced and she just casted, people wouldn't have instantly hopped online and been like what the hell is this shit??

This is along the same lines as posting a thread about how to black out someone's face because you find them too ugly and saying it is a legitimate problem that needs to be fixed. Extremely disrespectful.

It's the same premise of one person taking a shit on someone and everyone following suit. Want an example?

Hawk, I respect that you've been on here longer than me but this is just human psychology. One person says something, everyone else jumps the fuck on it. I'm not saying 100% of people wouldn't have said anything but I'll bet you a lot less say it if threads like these don't spawn in the first place.
I too, think that kelly can be hard to understand for a lot of non-native english speakers, that doesn't mean that the right to shit on something that is a part of her should be in fair form. One person says a certain someone looks like a chipmunk, next thing you know 10 people jump on it and start divulging from that. You know what I'm talking about. It's the same shit every single time on these threads.

I agree. As a friend of mine puts it, its like something thats straight out of Mean Girls.

I personally have nothing against her as an individual which is what you seem to be implying. My irritation was one that was entirely physical. I have rather sensitive ears so something that is high pitched was actually uncomfortable to me to listen to through no fault of her own. I am very happy that this was posted so I can comfortably watch and enjoy the GSL now.
I see no problem with only trying to improve everyone's overall comfort level. I knew if I was a caster and my voice did something that bothered people that was fixable by manipulating audio settings I'd announce it while I was casting lol. Some people seem more inclined to take things like this OP the wrong way.
I really do think he was just trying to help and I'm glad he did.

I certainly would not want to be watching an ugly person on screen trying to relay information to me.
I agree that this is somewhat rude and offensive, but she is a professional. She should be able to handle it. I don't understand why people think that everyone should be able to do what they want to do. Every job and title has a restriction. I certainly wouldn't be a professional singer, because my voice is terrible. If I thought otherwise and made a CD people are bound to criticize it, then I have two choices: a) realize I'm deluding myself into thinking I actually have a decent voice and stop singing, or b) ignore the critics and keep doing what I like to do (hypothetically).
Besides, what's more offensive, doing what is suggested by this thread or muting her cast? I think the latter would be also offensive to Tasteless/Artosis. Or how about a third option? How about we don't watch at all and possibly get her fired?

this is both funny and actually helpful. Personally I think kelly is a great caster, but this will take the edge off for people who are bothered by the pitch. bravo, sir.

of course there's some bandwagoning involved, people love drama. this has nothing to do with how low my e-wang hangs.
I think you're out of your mind if there wouldn't be similar outrage if there was no announcement and the event just took place with her casting. You even admit that the caster—a person paid for the sole purpose of verbally describing the action and interpreting it for the masses—is quite difficult to understand.
Most of the criticism was fair and focused on her voice. There was, of course, a few uninspired back to the kitchen comments and stuff, but the focus was on her inability to speak english properly and supposedly her lack of knowledge (which i admittedly know nothing about so I pass on that)
and peanut is well known as a giant attention whore and that blog was dumb as shit, so it's probably not the best example of unmerited bandwagoning.

I'm not saying 100% of everyone HATES her or anything but all threads like these do is plant the seed which manifests into unecessary ill-will towards someone who's just trying to do her best. Yes it might be hard to watch at first but come on, just enjoy the games and if it bothers you THAT much then mute it, turn on some music you enjoy, but don't start up so many threads because the more that exist the more hatred that just goes floating about this community, its just not productive for TL =\

Yeah, I mean posts that are constructive, to me, are things saying THIS is how you can improve and make it more enjoyable but when everyone says the same thing "WOW her voice is so annoying, what is she talking about, i can' tunderstand her, she sucks at this stuff, blah blah" you hear that 200 times and it becomes no more helpful.
