I think some of my favorite commentating was the Chill/Artosis combo during TSL/TSL2 though. | ||

I never listen to HD/Husky if I have a choice. I really like Day[9], Chill and DjWHEAT, and Tasteless. But lately I haven't heard of Tasteless casting anything so I'm kinda bummed =( Chill is the general strategist. He clearly tells you what to do, what to think about, and how to correctly respond to X situation. I really like his style of commentating. He is also very funny when he's got a great partner like Day[9] or Incontrol (as proven in TLA S3) Day[9] is the "tell you everything" commentator. It's very easy to get infected by his passion and excitement when he's commentating. He talks about everything from the map description to the very use of every unit in the given match up. When watching him you'll always learn something, be it some nuance, some trivia or some straight up excellent tip to do or to think about during a game. | ||

Mainstream doesn't mean best, if it did then I think everyone would agree that day9 would be "mainstream" | ||

Raelcun is the Iron Man of casters. 7 hours for Raelcun is nothing and he has provided probably 1000's of games at this point (I don't care to count lol). He also keeps it professional and is VERY good about not using foul language so you can have your nephew who's 12 tune in and not worry. I can't wait for Tasteless to start casting again  ! Will be good times! Day9 is also gangst er like I mentioned before and is probably one of the most mainstream casters as pretty much 112% of his fans would recognize him on the street whereas Husky and HD don't spend as much time on camera so they can blend in a crowd more. | ||

Day9 actually practices against these pros and knows most the build orders for each race and match up and he has a good idea of what's cutting edge innovation. He offers in depth coverage that is over the head of the most casual viewer, but amazing for anyone looking to improve their game. | ||

But what makes HD more mainstream is that if you type in "starcraft 2" or "starcraft 2 commentary" his channel shows up. I think Day[9] is "mainstream" as far as people who dive into starcraft a little more deeper. But i dont think that the real casual person really knows about Day[9]. All three casters bring a great energy to playing. I feel that Husky is the probably the most friendly towards the casual. Sort of like your watching the game with a friend. Day[9] is obviously more analytical. HD is somewhere in the middle. Edit: i feel that there are so many great casters out there but i feel that if you have to search hard for them you cant consider them mainstream | ||

The iCCup TV network only has 60k+ subscribers (between all our channels). But I got to admit I misjudged the power of Youtube and we did not jump on the bandwagon until we had to start from behind. They are defiantly "bigger" and more mainstream on Youtube (it's not even close) but we have the live streaming network that is the biggest. So it is what it is. That being said one thing I think HDH does wella nd TL users give them a lot of shit for is keep the game very accessible to the new player. A lot of casters assume you know what 2 base muta/ling means whereas many viewers do not. It's something Tasteless is the master of so that's why I'm excited for his return. He can get so in depth but make it make sense to someone who just clicked a random reddit link and have heard of that "Starcraft game" once or twice. For this to continue to grow we as a community must make this accessible to the new players so they can start enjoying it too. | ||

On a side note I <3 day9. i second this. i watch nothing but day9, but if i were to elect people to broadcast sc2 on national television i'd more likely choose people who are closer to the audiences understanding of the game. husky/hd are both very easy to understand. | ||
