+ Show Spoiler + It was a extreme agressive low eco build for those positions on metalo wich i found really strange. Also no scout and no zergling speed and straight roaches into t2 without expo. I dont know if i really like the build that much but he survived well vs the first metalpush, wich is good. He would have needed burrowed infestors and prolly overlord drops vs the tankheavy pushes in lategame. Sick how he lost that game. But i think attacking the planetary was simply a mistake. He prolly needs alot more practise. IF he started to play sc2 at release that would be a big accomplishment to be already that good!

sure, EU may be easier than KR, but considering Madfrog is dominating pretty hard on the ladder in just afew weeks, yet people still consider him not "worthy" of showmatches.. its pretty pathetic.

It mainly has to do with StarCraft elitism. July was/is a BW pro and legend, so people (especially on TL) idolize him, so you're seeing a lot of his fanboys coming out (no offense guys). While MaDFroG on the other hand, played BW and transitioned to WC3 and was a top player in WC3 for a few years before he retired and essentially disappeared for a number of years. Those who played/followed WC3 know who he is and have a similar level of respect, but in most cases (esp. on TL) WC3 is seen as an inferior RTS in comparison to BW. Thus, those who don't recognize WC3, don't recognize MaDFroG.

It was just a super biased cloud who said that.. Madfrog is already one of the best zergs out there and hes incredibly good imo.

Cloud will get his chance to prove his words against Madfrog in this tournament were they are facing off in the group stage: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=142907

People who don't have a golden mouse - MadFrog Therefore, JulyZerg is more baller :D Madfrog is still baller though.

So, JulyZerg's 2v2 partner is called "LJY". Any ideas?

July haz golden mouse. Revolutionized a way Zerg was played to this day. Madfrog played WC3. :D That said, they're still both great players.

All i remember was that dayvie was indeed david kim (at least in beta), and CGM saying that he, KHB, and david kim may not be playing SC2 competitively/professionally due to conflicts of interest. They never said they wouldn't play it period :\

But a quick search found this post: On July 27 2010 18:30 Cell.cell wrote: If anyone is still interested. I saw David Kim play in some games tonight at the Fountain Valley Fry's Midnight release. In those games his name was "dayvie" and he was a random player. I think this all but confirms that dayvie in the ladder is definitely him.
