I just had a game that completely BOILED my blood, and im one of the last people to nerd rage in a game but this truly pissed me off. 1v1 plat had this guy was beating him and he GGed so naturally i assumed hed leave so i said GG and stopped macroing had a drink, wiped my face and started chatting with him since he wasnt leaving
next thing i know he macroed up an army and attacked me.. and my army was out of position and he took the game.
has this happened to you guys?
im just seeing red right now so just in case im not typing coherently
1. I destroyed his main, he GGed
2. i stopped playing just relaxed started chatting
3. he then macroed up an army
4. he then eliminates me
5.he then goes to say GG doenst mean you win it means this is a good game, but we continue till the end.
is this a problem you guys face?!

Good for your blog, it's a problem that has and will persist you can't stop playing when they GG or this will happen occasionally.

This isn't the place to rant about games you were foolish enough to lose. Whenever someone says gg to me and starts chatting me up about the game, I don't reply until it's clear to me I have the game won. Sounds like you learned your lesson.

I always play until they leave the game and/or are too busy typing and then I macro up and A move their base just in case. Good habits make for less losses.

totally bm, but still, never assume they'll leave, you could've just easily attack moved your army in to finish him off...

Mind games are part of it.
Same as faking tech switches and baiting your opponent to waste resources / do what you want, its just he done it with chat lol

Yeah you really can't stop playing until they leave. Also, isn't it kind of weird that he was able to make another army after you destroyed his main? Sounds like the game really wasn't over then anyway.

Don't stop playing until you know without a doubt that he won't come back :/
I'd only chat when I know there's no hidden bases/armies etc.

Thanks man, i just couldnt believe it... it was such a close, great game and i couldnt believe i won and then this happened, i just felt so robbed. id expect something like this from copper-gold maybe but someone in platinum...maybe not. ::Smashes face in keyboard::

Yea dude. Don't rest until you see every last one of his buildings evaporate. Or if you are playing a Terran, you can do what I do when they refuse to leave: knock every one of his buildings into the red and spam /dance with all units selected as those bitches burn!

When my opponent GG's I still play my best as I don't trust they will actually quit. I have had people try to do it but you just learned a valuable lesson of not trying don't' do it again

Never trust people on the ladder. I make it a point to not say a word to them, no glhf, no gg, and no chatting. I'm not there to make friends, I'm there to destroy or get destroyed, leave and re-que. Ladder is a cess pool of internet anons treat it as such.
