Wow motherfucking group A is literally the ballsiest possible thing. Absolutely none of those player backed down and picked an easy opponent. That is balls of steel.

I don't see why more people aren't focusing on the fact that Yarnc has a teammate in the other 3 groups, so Flash may have picked him as a favor to the whole team system, rather than for any matchup reasons. It's been shown plenty of times that the progamers go out of their way to avoid such things.

This is a very good point!

This is definitely true. I'm sure Flash picked Yarnc for this exact reason. How else did all 7 CJ players end up in different groups for MSL? The progamers are manner enough to have an unspoken rule about spreading out teammates.

Questions about brackets. Can A-B group winners meet in Finals or is it only A/B vs C/D for a finals?

Wow, Flash has to go up against the three best ZvTers in the world right now. It sucks only one of Flash/Jaedong/EffOrt are going to make it to the quarterfinals

Jaedong's choice makes perfect sense. Effort, for all of his win streak, is a Zerg. And Jaedong has the best possible chance against Zerg. Any Zerg. Yes, Jaedong lost a game to Effort, but he lost a game to hyvaa. Should Jaedong cower in fear of hyvaa too?

Plus, Jaedong would have expected Effort to pick a Zerg, since that would give Effort the best chance of making it out of his group.

Effort decided to counter that by picking Flash. Now, this is smart from the perspective that it makes it harder for Jaedong, who's weakest matchup is vs. Terran. But this is stupid from the perspective that Effort's weakest matchup is also vs. Terran (note: the fact that these are each other's weakest matchups should not be construed to mean that they are in any way weak in these matchups).
So you know, cats are interesting. They are kind of like girls. If they come up and talk to you, it's great. But if you try to talk to them, it doesn't always go so well. - Shigeru Miyamoto

Efforts strongest matchup is ZvT; his weakest is ZvP. TLPD is misleading.

Also I see Effort/Flash advancing. Yarnc will definitely lose vs both Zergs and I doubt he will beat Flash because of a style disadvantage. Flash/JD/Effort might end up all 2-1 (Flash>JD, Effort>Flash, JD>Effort seems quite likely) and we'd have some great tiebreakers.

No matter what, one of Flash, JD and Effort aren't making it through, which saddens me. Hell even two of them might not make it through of Yarnc upsets. =(

Oh wow! Jaedong Flash Effort! Yet another group of death. It is funny how it is always Jaedong or Flash getting those ridiculously hard groups. I remeber the group Flash/Bisu/Much/July which was also really stacked.

Then obviously the last MSL...

I will be definitely looking forward to watching it!

now If only Flash decides to go Bio in his games, we will have an awesome set of matches.
I'm predicting that he'll make it through

No-one said Movie would beat Jaedong in the MSL group... guess what happened...

Yarnc beating Jaedong/Effort/Flash is a pretty similar situation. Don't kid yourself that he has 0% chance

Here's why (Z)EffOrt will win this OSL:

This guy (actually anyone from the group) is going to have to play at a ridiculously high level just to get out of the group stage. Nobody else will be as prepared as the two qualifiers from that group. And basically, that quote is ridiculously frightening.
