Group A: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love how ballsy the players in this group are. JD directly challenged his closest rival. EffOrt threw it right back at him by picking Flash. And Yarnc is no slouch either, after what we saw from Movie last week, anything can happen in this group. Except one thing. I said that EffOrt would win a star-league this season, and I'm not backing down from that. I'm sure EffOrt will advance. Group B: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In a toss-filled group, I can almost see fantasy's vultures salivating all over their factory floor. Prediction: The number of probe kills that fantasy's vultures get will slightly exceed the number of dumb non-fatal mistakes that Stork makes on his way to the second spot in the group. Group C: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Group D: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a really intriguing group. What it really hinges on is Leta's two-port staple. If he employs it against the zergs in the group, it'll be interesting to see how they've prepared. I expect a lot. I could easily see Leta going down in this group to superior preparation, but he's also the best player here. But I think Kwanro is the zerg to finish above him here. by.hero's ZvT is not impressive, and while I can't rule out Canata, I'm not expecting him to move on.

Yarnc isn't even a auto lose v. Jaedong. They have both had extremely close games in the past also. Group A with Yarnc is way more of a group of death than with Stork. Stork would be a huge underdog to Jaedong, underdog to Effort, and maybe even with Flash. Yarnc has a much higher chance of upsetting the group than Stork would and I think the group is way more interesting with him in it. Not to mention, who do you think is more likely to step up his game for this group? Yarnc or Stork? I think Yarnc is going to bring his A game to these matches. -------------------------------------- As for Flash's chances, I feel like Holy World really doesn't fit his TvZ playing style at well (especially against Effort) and that Heartbreak Ridge is also going to be a tough map for him as well. Return of the King is going to be his strongest map, but it's also against Flash's toughest rival Jaedong. I don't really know. I think Flash could roll through the group, but he can also completely crash and burn. Either way I'm not going to be too surprised. If Flash can show some creativity and flair it's going to help him alot. Also, his bionic control against two hatch muta has really really improved (games against Jaedong on Neo Harmony and Yarnc on Andromeda anyone?) so I think any Zerg trying to pull it off is going to be playing straight into Flash's hands. That's all I've got for now.

I am super super dissapointed by Bisu picking go.go. Its not even like he tried to cover it up by picking someone with history (Hwasin, for example, wouldve been ok). He literally just picked the weakest opponent available. I hope it backfires like his previous attempts to create easy groups for himself.

And you must have missed their match on Colosseum II that came down to the freaking wire. Same with their match on Battle Royal. Razor sharp between winning and losing. You're selling Yarnc short if you think Jaedong is auto win vs him.

I wouldn't say it is autowin, but yarnc better hope for a BO advantage or I don't think he has a chance. He actually was in a great position in their previous two bouts and couldn't do anything with it.

except yarnc as a left over choice. actully rest of the group are okay but Bisu can probably 3-0 his group again.

JD/Effort/Flash comprise 3 of the top 4 players in the world and then Flash goes and picks one of the best ZvT in the world who will literally be only good for sniping him out of the group stages. That is balls of steel. I don't see why more people aren't focusing on the fact that Yarnc has a teammate in the other 3 groups, so Flash may have picked him as a favor to the whole team system, rather than for any matchup reasons. It's been shown plenty of times that the progamers go out of their way to avoid such things.
