This rule just doesn't make sense at all anymore. Why is there a referee in the first place? If the rule specifically states any typing is not allowed you don't need the referee, especially if you have the shit on camera. A referee would be needed if you need someone to make judgement if he d/q for a specific chat (like the boxer example, chat that could be misleading and or is only directed towards throwing the opponent of guard). Basically this rule is similar to any Sport, you can get a yellow card in soccer for talking trash to players/referees, too, but it's upon the ref to decide. This would be like saying talking in general wasn't allowed in sports and then some player says "sorry" because of a bad foul and gets ejected. This is only gets more retarted because the ref specifically states that GoRush typed 'a' by accident and is therefor disqualified. They just changed the rule about pausing, why not be intelligent and have the so-called Referees actually do something a Referee would do: pay attention and make a decision based on their judgement of the situation. It is even in the KeSPA rules that the ref could've just let the game commence and or pause it, to disqualify GoRush he needs to judge the "a" as a message in acception of loss: Section 8, Game pause based on player's request In the situations described below, the players can type 'p' multiple times as well as any other keys to request for a pause. (But when there is a problem with a keyboard the game can be paused immediately). Under the referee's command "Pause", the game can be paused. What happens to the game is depending on the referee's judgment. Section 13, Declaration of acceptance of loss Only 'gg (lower casing in English), GG (caps in English)' will be accepted as declarations of acceptance of loss. Typing anything else to declare acceptance of loss will result in a disqualification and a warning. (With effect from 11th April 2009) So, only Section 13 of the KeSPA rules result in disqualification.

That's logical and takes effort. I complained about this exact thing with Leta. Referees aren't there to enforce rules with an iron fist they are there to interpret them based on the situation.
