Wow that's retarded Are you serious? You skip on way more drones than 3 by 5pooling, and way earlier than when you kill protoss' probes. If a 5pool does nothing but kill 3 probes (and P doesnt have to give up natural) protoss is superfar ahead. On the other hand, if you can delay tech, force another cannon, kill 3 probes, and make probes lose a lot of mining time by harassing the mineral line, thats a huge difference and then z will be ahead. The only reason 5pool works well nowadays is because most protoss players dont immeadiately get their forge at 150 minerals, because even if he does 9 pool speed, your cannons will be too early, so they prefer keeping that probe mining a bit more till their next probe is out and make it at like 230 minerals. So often the delay of their cannons that is perfectly calculated to be able to handle any 9pool build will kill them when they get 5pooled. This is why your 5pool sometimes get stopped at D+ level on iccup, but professional protoss fail to do so in important games. It's just a way to punish greedy (every?) protoss that maximalizes mining time. Now let's stop derailing this thread. That goes especially for you, fanatacist. | ||
