The daum stream appears to be up, my friends. I hope your first pro league watch will be as enjoyable as I expect it to be. Although STX has no solid S-player to hold the line, it's a team that's very similar to CJ with a breadth of strong players. STX is simply less consistent than CJ (both good and bad).

The thing I have against YY is that there is normally some chinese guy with a crazy accent. I've never heard chinese spoken so awkwardly. I admit that I'm not fluent in mandarin myself, but this guy takes even "beijing" dialect to new levels.

Yeah ive heard that too but korean commentators also said that svcs mine faster so they can be wrong. If you can trap 2 probes/svc im pretty sure its effective but 1?

Hmm... I'm actually wondering why they didn't send Iris first. Next map after Andromeda is Tau Cross, which is slightly Zerg favoring. Would've been a better place to send out MJY.
And, in case of an all kill, the last map to play would've been Neo Harmony, which isn't bad for Zerg either.
On the other hand if he beats Kal(which he's going to ~sorry fanboy~), he'll probably face Hwasin on Tau Cross which will give him better chances to pull it off.

Saviors probably going down but at least he went out with a fight. I thought it was a hopeless situation personally.
One thing I noted though. The old savior was so confident that he would almost always scout with a drone fairly early. Something he doesnt really do anymore because the macro skills of other players is so high.

The drones at the beginning were really strange, lings should be worth the second cannon. Not drone scouting either, sigh... Well, after that I think that he was playing better than any Zerg I can think of, so I'm still hopeful about Savior. Any other Zerg would probably have GGed right at the beginning.

Most people bitch when people try to correct pros because they believe they are infallable but savior REALLY handled that zealot rush horribly. The opening I don't blame him for because he didnt scout p early BUT:
It was inexcuseable for him to not cancel the 3rd hatch right away once the zeals arrived at his nat. Instead he waited for the zs to compeltely finish off his nat and then canceled it as soon as they walked up to it. Making it nothing more than a completely waste of minerals and a big delay. He shouldve canceled immediately upon seeing the zs and remade it in his main. This would have made his muta transition a lot more smooth.

Ya the scouting was unfortunate but his reaction was so poor that I was completely convinced the zealot rush would win flat out. Thats why I was so amazed when he managed to make a game out of it.
Kal played that masterfully. His one and only mistake was no cannon at his nat before the mutas arrived. Possibly another mistake was to not just move in early on and kill the one sunk(there was a small opening but kal didnt have map hack after all) but this is risky and kal wanted to play it safe.
The 2 gate was an unexpected and highly intelligent exploitation of the greedy way zerg normally plays the map. Despite the distances not being to far AND there being a ramp for zeals to guard.

This man knows what he is talking about... Savior got rushed and Kal delayed his intentions to expand. Then savior manages to get an advantage but today Kal just played better.

Don't get me wrong. I don't question Kal's decision to go for a 2-gate rush. It was quite intelligent actually. It was a 4 player map, so he knew chances would be good that he's not scouted right away. He knew savior was looking sharp lately. And he knew most zergs would expect a forge fast expand.
On the other hand it wasn't silly or something to for 12-hatch. If you've watched Savior's game, you know that he more often than not goes for 9-pool against Protoss to get an early advantage, in which case he would've had no problem at all with the 2-gate rush. So it's only natural for him to assume that most opponents, expecting a 9-pool, won't go for a rush themselves.

I fear that Kal's arb tech will be too late. Hes going to have to rely on push breaking with goons/zeals/ temps and shuttles. Not an easy way to win

Also stop confusing CJ fans and Savior fans, they are not one in the same. It is a GOOD thing Savior lost because now is his actual test. Was he just on a lucky momentum ride with his 9-win streak or is he actually back in some sort of form? He had to lose sometime, let's see if he can retain his win percentage after a loss.
CJ had to lose at some point too, undefeated teams have a knack for crashing and burning because they don't know how to react to losing. Hopefully CJ will recover just fine and continue on their WL rampage, they have an extremely deep team now that Iris/Effort/Movie/Skyhigh are beginning to shape up and become an actual force against other players.

Yeah, it's a good thing savior lost and even better it was against a build like that. Although his initial reaction wasn't optimal, he played well afterwards and tried to do everything he could to get back into the game. And his facial expression stayed pretty much the same for the whole game, which is always a good thing. Hopefully we'll truly see what kind of a form he is in after his game against UpMagic.

Gah sAviOr lost and people thinking he is going to slump again.... I don't think he is, its kind of ironic that CJ beats so many good high ranking teams but they lose to STX no offense to STX I like July too but its... strange. I don't really like Kal cause really give me one good reason that he is more to like then all the other Protoss players. He's good but, I am not really a fan.

We were #1 for awhile before Winner's League, dude. It's not really a good format for a team with a very deep lineup yet lacking a top 5 player (Hwasin, July and Kal all come close but they aren't quite Flash/Jaedong calibur). Inversely, KTF and Oz now doing great.
I think we'll settle into 2nd or 3rd place by the end of the Proleague season.

I'm a CJ fan, I cheer for Savior but I see no reason to hate on Kal. It's not like some scrub all-killed CJ. Many consider that if Kal learns to play more solid and a little safer, he could be the no1 dragon, so whatever.

But how can Hyun be the evil genius of zerg? Hyun's evil emanation isn't strong, but let it be him since there are no better candidates (2006 savior doesn't count). Guy had some crotchdances in his career on top of probably the best hold lurker that ever happened (yes, better than Savior vs TheSTC) Hyun's hold lurker
