DaezanG > by.funny Both of these players have terrible records, not unlike the rest of the lineups for both sides. Daezang showed some decent play by beating Snow in the GSL, that wasn't PL and Snow isn't a terran. I like Daezang, but I can't ignore the fact that he has lost to the last 10 terrans he has played against. On the other hand, by.funny has lost most of his games as well. However, all the games he did lose were to monsters like forGG, Kal, Luxury, Leta, and BeSt. The only reason I'm giving this to DaezanG is that even he should be able to pull of a successful proxy on Chupung-Ryeong.
OversKy < SangHo Oh man, what has happened here? SangHo is playing well? He is on a 4 game winning streak against zerg which includes the Tyrant himself, Jaedong; he is also on a 4 game streak against all races. He overcame his bane: terrans, breaking an 11 loss streak. Oversky is a good player, possibly the best on Ace(we have yet to see how the new recruits do), even including Boxer. He has been winning consistently since forever in all matchups. Medusa is thus far 6-6 in ZvP, but I'm going to say right here that is balanced towards protoss in this matchup. Most of zerg's wins have been good players stomping all over poor ones. July got his huge streak against protoss broken here with a loss to Bisu and a loss to Much. When two more evenly matched protoss and zerg come together on Medusa, it has been more often the protoss coming out on top. Zerg's 3rd gas is just too hard to defend, while protoss gets the advantage of the easily defended mineral only. I'm giving this one to SangHo.
BoxeR > maGma If Boxer loses this, I will cry. Magma hasn't beat a terran since 2007 and has a record of 2-14 in his last 16 games. Besides that, Neo Requiem has been showing a lot of shuttle/dropship play(see Upmagic vs Soo), which is Boxer's trademark. I think Boxer will be able to use his skill with dropships to overcome the Z>T imbalance that Requiem has shown us thus far.
fOru < Tester These two players are...terrible. Ok? Neither of them have won a PvP in forever, but I'll give this to Tester since has been winning a few games lately, including a PL against Flash.
Ace: Probably either Daezang or Oversky versus sea.Really. If Ace plays a protoss on Harmony, they will lose. I can't believe they have been playing fOru and DZ here. Sea.Really is a pretty good player and should be able to win on a T>P map. If Oversky is played though, I think Ace can take this. So my predictions are these: OversKy > Sea.Really OR DaezanG < Sea.Really
These are the two teams at the very bottom of the bucket, with ACE yet to pull out even one win. They have in fact only brought one game to ace, can they possibly take their first win off eSTRO today?
How to watch: -Daum Sports(low quality)Direct Link -Daum Media player, Guide -Yaoyuan, Guide -Possibly the VLC stream from Corinthos
well... i know that ACE only won 4 games in the WHOLE season so far. so some of you guys may think that the possibilty of winning 3 games in ONE match isn'T very high. but this time they'll win.
-Daezang < by.funny. DZ has been sucking lately. by.funny's is 1-4, but all his loses were at the hands of beasts like forGG, BeSt, Leta, and Lux. Tough luck. He beat MVP, and his play isn't bad at all. At least better than a slumping DZ.
-Oversky < Sangho. Being probably the most efficient player of ACE, he has to face Sangho, who imo, is the player who will become eSTRO's flagship in a very short time. He might never become a Bonjwa, but he definitely has superstar material in him.
Boxer > Magma. I like Boxer. A lot. But lately I think he has been suffering from the UpMagic syndrome, where he tries to go so creative that ends up failing bad. However, Magma sucks ass really bad, and if Boxer doesn't go crazy, he has a fair chance of beating him.
fOru <> tester. Ok, gotta admit that tester's wins over Flash and Fantasy were a big surprise, but fOru also beat Canata and in his loss against Nada he seemed pretty good at some moments. On paper, tester should win, but fOru might pull a win somehow.
If tester wins, gg ACE, eStro takes it home 3-1. If fOru wins and they go for ace match, I'm afraid they will be sending someone like Sunny, Rage or Mumyung. I think eSTRO will send hyvaa or Really(probably Really), which will result in a win for eSTRO.
Ace looks to have a shot here. I'm going 3-1 ace with Boxer, Oversky, and one of the other guys winning.
You know, with all this talk of Boxer returning to T1, it's actually Oversky that T1 really needs. The guy's talent is really wasted on a team that just don't have anyone. And he's remarkably consistent for a guy with no practice time.

As I said in the predictions, Oversky is ACE's best player. I really think he could make something of himself if he was on a better team.
Neo Requiem is a map that boxer knows well I think. His TvZ is Godly, his one base play are just exceptional, I don't see the zerg having a chance here.
Watching eStro this season, I really really like By.Funny. He's creative, aggresive, and he's also a new hopeful for eStro. Maybe he can turn their frown upside down. They are so close yet so far.
I hope he wins and ForU wins. ForU's win vs Canata was so funny. I want more!
Added direct link to daum sports, sorry I didn't add it earlier. I got messed up by daylight savings time...it was just this weekend the time changed. Its cool now though, everything starts an hour earlier just like magic.
The timing on that hydra break was really nice, the lings made Sangho waste like 2 cannons protecting his backdoor and main and the Hydras came in just as the robo facility was warping in.
Well it was mostly a fake bunker rush to force magma in pulling drones ... he pulled 4 + scout drone to prevent that and Boxer lost nothing except canceling a bunker

I didn't say Boxer for ace since they haven't played him this season. Although it would be smart to play him on a terran map like harmony. We will see whos right.
Boxer busts through into Magmas main!! looks like GG!! Dark swarms are flying everywhere but the firebats are doing a good job of countering. Ultras are popping now too.

always funny to read those..
Hey, my predictions in the OP are about to go 2-1. I couldn't prediction that hydra break by oversky.

They were reasonable picks.. dazeangs play has been hit or miss, but only a silly man bets against oversky that guy is the rock that holds down the ace team. I mean once Casy, Reach, and Anytime come aboard Ace could be a powerhouse, or atleast better than current SKT1.

I really like oversky, but sangho has been playing pretty well lately. Oversky was very smart to force extra cannons on the cliff ---> hydra break. I'm glad he won,
Man, estro's so inconsistent. Going to ace match against good teams and losing to ACE 0-3. But their kids do have potential. I hope they can improve and be competitive.
Boxer gets valks, repels muta harass because marines manage to snipe scourges. Zerg skips lurkers, goes straight to ultras with 3 bases. Boxer attempts to drop, which was a distraction, he sieges on the sunken wall. Boxer soon gets even with base count. Zerg is gay so he attacks undefended expo, picks out a handful of scvs but doesn't do damage while boxer floats cc to the top right expo. A couple of battles ensue, including: - mass darkswarm, the zerg cheated and had defilers as many as boxers vessels. - the guardians tried to rape the marines, but boxer is so good, he placed his rines UNDER the cloud then shredded the guardians. Not to mention the firebats, haha. - the zerg was desperate, he consumed an ultra:
Defiler: Crap, I ad 50 energies short of Dark Swarm and we will get killed! I need to consume one of you! Ultra 1: I have full health Ultra 2: I have half health Dying ultra: Oh crap.
- Boxer was making magma feel good by leaving his vessels around like they were obs in PvT. - Boxer doesn't fool around and does 1ta1ta3ta4ta5ta7i8i9i0i. Zerg tries to 1sz2sz3sz4sz5sz6sz.
Boxer obliterates the zerg easy, because 1ta2ta3ta4ta5ta >>>>> 1sz2sz3sz..
spoiler tags to play safe, I know this is a lr thread.

I'm happy for ace and their first win, still this sucks big time for estro. They were doing so well (despite loosing but going 2:3 against some of the best teams) and suddenly they get utterly humiliated bei loosing 3:0 to ace.. . Better chances for Nony to make the proleague lineup i guess, can't possibly do worse than this.
What a horrible 3rd game. If it wasn't HIM playing, I would have just stopped watching. Daezang looked strong. Oversky, good as always. Boxer, he won vs a terrible zerg, HE needs to get to SKT and get proper training. Congrats, ACE. Sorry for ya, eSTRO, you were doing so well.
lol all the people complaining about his slopiness, hes 30 and in the fucking army and can STILL win and STILL compete. Boxer you are the EMPORER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, he's actually 28. Not that it matters much.
I think people just expect too much out of him. Boxer's simply not the player he used to be. I'm curious to see how he fares returning to T1, but I can't see him even reaching the level of, say, Midas. He really is more fitting to be a coach now.

I knew i was gonna be corrected on this i knew it was 28-30 so i said 30 thanks anyway bro. And yea i totally feel the same exept that i know he will never be able to play at top tier level anymore but it aint a bad thing hes still got a bomb career ahead of him. People stop expecting him to come back and own it aint gonna happen, its already been done
