%99 of the people will say OMG FLASH 2-0 OR IN GAME 3 PLASMA EZ GG NO RE NUB. We all remember that when GGplay has his 3rd/4th gas running, he was nearly unstoppable in zvt but times have changed, OGN curse hit him pretty BAAD, In EVER 2007 he was 1-2 in groups, in Bacchus he was not even there, in EVER 2008 he even failed to win a single game in groups, and this OSL, he did not beat S class players to come here, light failed to do some 1 base build, rock is, well rock, and best WTFOWNED him with mass GOONS 1a2a3a4a5a ggnore nub, but i still have (WTF) faith on GGPlay, i do not know why i have faith on him, i think he'll show us some crazy defiler control and crazy macro. For Flash, fuck him. Mind vs Fantasy: Ahh fantasy, only royal roader left, he killed nada in both OSL and MSL and his 2 fact vs Sea was really good, TvT is boring, probably i will sleep during the matches but i LOVE fantasy and i want to see fantasy advancing, because you know, mind sucks. Best vs Midas: Both players have crazy macro, both players know this mu very well, maps can not tell much to us, but one thing is certain, this Bo3 will be really good, no matter who wins, and should entertain all of us. Prediction? I would go for Best because he has crazy momentum behind him, and i want a protoss to advance obviously. Bisu vs Stork: You know, PvP is incredibly hard to predict, both players look hella good recently on PvP, Stork is a beast when he is not playing a final, bisu is BISU, i like both players, but i like Bisu much more and i want to bisu win.

Flash - GGPlay: the least exciting Ro8 matchup for sure. Exhibition game losses to Hyuk and Rumble and two awful games against Yarnc in the MSL kind of make me think Flash has forgotten how to TvZ. Let's face it - since losing to Lux, Flash's TvZ has been a bit rough around the edges. Maybe he doesn't have that much confidence in this MU anymore? The GOM Classic final couldn't have helped him in that regard. All of this discussion is pretty irrelevant when you consider his opponent is GGPlay. GGPlay is a has-been whose place in the Ro8 is a slap in the face to the many better players who didn't qualify (Sea, Much, even BackHo FFS). Flash owns GGPlay like Rock and Light should have, and advances to the Ro4. Fantasy - Mind: fantasy is the latest product of T1's star factory and he pretty much came out of nowhere this Starleague season. A mediocre performance in the 2008 PL must have merely meant that his talents were incubating, because they're definitely fully hatched by now. I just see fantasy walking all over Mind here - TvT has never been Mind's strength and I think fantasy's dash of creativity is the perfect answer for Mind's mechanical style. Plus, fantasy can practice with the god of TvT Canata. BeSt - Midas: as a huge T1 fanboy and a bigger BeSt fanboy, I'm really sad to see this matchup happening in the Ro8. Midas should be even more depressed, because BeSt is going to fuck him up. Even after so many more game appearances, Midas has never showed the kind of composure that BeSt showed last OSL. In terms of raw skill, BeSt easily takes the cake. This may be Midas's preferred matchup, but at this point I don't think he has the confidence or the skill to take out BeSt. Another factor to consider is that Midas has frequently been criticized by teammates and opponents as a sore loser. He's clearly one of the more obviously emotional players on the circuit right now. This disposition won't serve him well in the heat of a drama-filled teammate-on-teammate battle, especially because BeSt is so cold and calculating. Bisu - Stork: watching every match of T1's 2008 Proleague campaign was torture for the Bisu fan in me. The silver lining was Bisu's PvP, which emerged as the only matchup in which he is still proficient. Bisu in the Proleague is a mere shadow of Bisu in a Starleague, but I can still justify the claim that Bisu's strongest matchup right now is PvP. Stork has fallen far from his throne as the "PvP king" of 2007, most recently by blowing a massive lead to Kal in the MSL with three awful micro mistakes. Plus, Bisu just seems to have Stork's number. He dominated both of their most recent meetings (STX Masters and Proleague) and I expect more of the same here. Bisu = Champion, Stork = go home. Either way, the result of this match won't matter because its winner has to play a PvP Bo5 versus the best PvP player of all time.

His loss was the best possible thing that could have happened to flash's tvz. It made him realize that doing 1rax cc every game has weaknesses. I predicted that night that it would make him completely rethink his tvz and the proleague allstars proved that. This is the only tvz left in this osl so there's no reason for flash to hold back good strategies for later. Flash will take it by mixing up his bo's, probably even having a creative one (assuming creative wasn't redefined by boxer at the gom tourney).

Your point is good, but I wasn't referring to his TvZ, I was referring to his "confidence in this MU". I don't think losing to JD 0-3 improved Flash's opinion of his TvZ.

Flash vs GGPlay Flash must be feeling insecure in this MU right now. I think there is an 80% chance of him pulling a big fat cheese here. And winning because Flash's cheeses are always awesome (ask Bisu...) and GGPlay has been consistently horrendous for a while now, being here on an incredible streak of luck. If Flash doesn't cheese, he probably has a special build instead of his now outdated 14cc-no-matter-what. GGPlay will have no idea what is coming anyhow. fantasy vs Mind I have been following fantasy since last MSL's qualifiers where he was impressive (though later he got 0-2ed by dunno who and Savior). Lim Yo Hwan Jr gets better everyday. His TvT is scary and provided one of the best games so far this year (was that against Nada? Long back and forth TvT where both ended up trading their bases and starting all over again after like 20mins). Mind's TvT is so-so. His wins have never been convincing. Plus he has to be punished for that 2 rax proxy vs Midas. BeSt vs Midas What a heartbreak. And a tough call. Midas looks really strong again and BeSt is still a stone cold macro machine. Given the map, I think Midas has an edge. But I believe BeSt will hold the pressure until he can finally outmacro his opponent. Stork vs Bisu I hate Stork. I hate his team, his play style, his nerdy grin, his messy hair and most of all, I hate the fact that he always knocks out players I really like. He will eliminate Bisu just to piss me off. He made pretty bad micro mistakes vs Kal, so he must have spent the night being flogged by January (and probably that perv FBH). He won't do it twice. Unless Bisu pulls a brilliant chesse (not his style at all), there is a good chance he will lose today. It is not the time for Stork to choke just yet.
