kal should have played more defensively, if he had used that first big army to secure the center high ground gasses he woulda had a way better chance. sticking to 2 gas that long is so risky and theres no real way for zerg to attack those expos if toss gets them established with cannon/reaver/temp.

that being said, effort played really nicely.

yea, i can imagine pvz evolving more towards what you've described idra, in the same manner that PL games stagnate as more 'safe' and 'standard' game flows become established with time

Too bad though, b/c games might be less exciting as a result.

well that style isnt as strong on other maps with expos that are harder to defend, but tiny high ground expos with 1 unit wide ramps just beg for it.

kal cant find effort on first try, so forge first.

O_O wow kal double scouted with a 2nd probe towards 5 to find effort faster, prolly has to do with long distances and if he scouts a 9 pool last it causes some issues.

omg kal kills a drone with probe.

2nd scouting probe preventing 3rd hatch at 3rd expo from going down, effort extractor -> cancels to regain hp and fihgt probe -> lay hatch.

kal relentlessly probe harassing in main.

so effort went standard 12 hatch 11 pool and 13'ish hatch at 3rd exp.

oh wow he's going 3h lair, not 4h power.

kal with 1 cannon at his wall at nat.
