Stop turning this into a "Hwasin played poorly Jaedong didn't" speculation fest, it's fucking pointless. What we do know is that Hwasin has a history of just not bringing enough form to the contest to win, when some might argue he should have won it otherwise (and some might not). In some cases you could call this choking, but in other cases it's simply because the other player was stronger at the time. Once again, this has occurred and I personally feel Hwasin's psyche got ripped after losing the second as someone pointed out earlier and things went downhill from there. Does that mean he'd have rolled Jaedong if they both played 100%? Maybe, but neither side will prove or disprove it.

Okay, was Jaedong's build in the last game of the series a standard guardian to ultralisk build or some kind of new opening he's invented? I ask because I was really curious of the +1 attack on JD's mutas.

I'm not exactly sure how to calculate the mutas' damage and secondary damage using hold position micro against groups but let's say typically it's 4 mutas versus 1 marine in these skirmishes (I'm thinking the 12 mutas vs 2-3 rines at the blob's edge). That's 35 damage per each 'glaive wurm' volley. It would take 2 volleys to kill 1 marine, giving medics enough time to heal inbetween the volleys. But a +1 modifier would kill the marine in 1 hit. At least in theory. Now, since today it's the standard to upgrade +1 attack on the rines first wouldn't a +1 attack on mutas be an awesome counter-strategy? It may not be as signifcant change in the match up as Flash's early armories but why can't this quick +1 return the razor sharp muta harass that has been lacking in the ZvT matchups of this season?

Oh and does the secondary +4 turn into a +5 with the upgrade?

ETA: Nevermind... Just tested it and it takes freaking 3 minutes for the upgrade to finish. I don't know what I was smoking. Only works with 2 hatch/early muta thing.

In a Bo9, Hwasin would probably come out on top doing the same boring thing over and over again.

However, in this Bo5 Jaedong simply out strategize Hwasin. Rather than do the same old strategy for the 9999th time, Jaedong threw off Hwasin's timing with his unorthodox build. Jaedong's strategy were all incredibly risky! 4 pool, hidden 3rd gas hatchery, or 2 group of mutalisk. The control of 2 group of mutalisk was so amazing! I didn't know it was 2 control groups until I saw Jaedong's FPView. Now that Jaedong reveal his hidden ace card, in his next ZvT series, his strategies will be less effective

Tiamat is such a shitty ZvT map. No surpise it is 4:0 or 5:0 in favor of Terran. That's a free win for Hwasin. The 3rd gas is so hard to defend for zerg while miles easier for Terran.

Does anyone happen to have the VOD where a Zerg 5pools a Terran, it fails, but he continues to win. I believe it might have been the aforementioned ChoJJa vs someone on Rush Hour, and I remember watching it before, but I can't find it anymore

So after watching game number 4 of Jaedong motherfucking controlling 2 groups of muta like it's nothing I wanna go and bash on his comments and give him a link to game 4 of jd vs hwasin

what was the point of jaedong killing his initial larva game 3?

First I thought it was a mistake, and he just thought "oh fuck it I 4-pool", but that was only for a split second though because of shock

That was well planned I think. It was a way of controling larvae. If you check out the VOD you'll see that JD has 4 larvae morphing Zerglings before the first 6 hatch. The canceling of the first larvae made it so it spawned a new one at a better timing for his rush adding 2 more zerglings to the fight alot faster.

Damn that 4-pool was so beautiful...

no thats not possible.

Lee Jae Dong, Zerg Messiah. I have doubted you, supreme master, and again you have overrun your enemies with the unbridled ferocity of the Swarm. You have opened my eyes to the sublime and timeless beauty of Zerg domination, the power and the grace that is your birthright.

You shall find me from here on by your side, always willing to offer praise to your name, and I will never ever doubt you again.

With the puny humans crushed beneath our bladed iron heels, the haughty and ancient Protoss is next!

jaedong had some sort of software installed on his computer. With this software istalled, cancelling eggs can net you a ton of minerals. This gives a faster pool. It's quite a common trick if you've played on bnet enough

Haven't these progamers learned by now? In order to beat Jeadong in a bo5, you HAVE to drop the first game. GG 1 second after the game start, or destroy your own CC with your scv's if you have to, just do it. It'll throw Jaedong off his game and he'll lose the next three in a row, guaranteed.

If you GG 1 second after the game starts, it would be a draw, and the score would be 0-0-1. Does that count? HMMM

I got totally thrown by the BOs Jaedong used in the Colosseum game...can someone elaborate? It was a two hatch into lurkers, skipping mutas entirely, right?

That 4pool just shocked SexSexPussyHair too much and he was just not able to recover from it. It was a brilliant move from JD, not only taking the lead, but aiming to get into Hwasins head.

Chojja also 6 pooled vs Nada, who 8 raxed and then proceeded to infest his command center and beat him with infested marines. That was a fun game (though I cant remember the map)
