in my opinion i think Luxury has a chance of beating Flash, but only if he studied his brother of what he did (hopefully Flash losses cuz he aint fun as a player...)
Best has been impressive on PvP remember Best vs Daezang (storm dodge :D) but Much impressed me on the MSL against Free (but Free was playing horrible in my opinion)
I dont know nothing about BackHo and Jangbi but i think Jangbi would lose cuz i dont want him to win :D
and for July vs Rock :D Rock would now get a chance to get revenge :D from his last game against him :D but i think he wants to destroy him just like on RoV. but July has been impressive ever since he went to STX so i would go for July for this game :D

Nope, because my original prediction was a Flash victory. I merely said that Luxury is capable, which most people don't realize. I still think Flash will close the series, but i did in fact think Flash would take game 1

Holy shit I just want to say that was a fucking amazing game. I want to write a freaking essay on how good Luxury is and the ZvT brilliance he showed that game.
He obviously studied the map endlessly to come up with such a powerful build -- but it wasnt just his build, his micro and unit control was top-tier. I havnt seen such awesome vessel snipes in any recent TvZ since Terran have become so much better at protecting their vessels. Obviously in sAviOr days when they were careless you would see a bunch, but Luxury managed to snipe like every vessel before Flash could get a sizable cloud. So impressive.
TvZ is now 6-1 on Troy, haha.

it took something out of the ordinary to beat flash. it sure took a long time. nicely played.

That's what you get for playing standard i rax FE in every single game you play (except when he cheeses)! FU flash! The most boring player to ever dominate anything.
That strategy was so efficient versus standard play, it was almost ridiculous. I'd say that the TLPD imbalance for Troy isn't really realistic as all of the games where zerg lost versus terran, the zerg was either sunken breaked, or completely outclassed (might be some exception though).
That was amazing, it's too bad though that both andromeda and hwarangdo are really hard ZvT. I will be faithful to my hero though. It's very impressive performing this well against the toughest competition in the world.

Lux played extremely well but flash made some pretty big mistakes. He lost a tank by moving into range of a sunk (slower break). He also lost his first vessel AND delayed his second by going dropship which only managed to delay lux's gas slightly.
He also made a strategic error in my humble opinion. When he saw the build order lux was using (no lurk, quick hive) I think a T needs their second starport ASAP, take an earlier gas at the nat and just get some 3 vessels out asap. From there make 2 dropships at the same time and use that to harass the nat and/or main using scan to pick the best target and the main army to distract the zergs main forces.
As usual with bw, a LOT easier said than done. But I think if flash had saved his first vessel/started a faster starport and focused on vessels before making a dropship. He wouldve handled the guards a lot easier and reapplied pressure before ultras became a real threat.

Well those Chinese commentators to me sure as hell didn't seem like professionals. More like a bunch of random hired for just PGL...at least they were on that level skillwise for sure.
On another note, thanks FS for digging that up (too bad I can't know the formula of time and posts together, but that's just a minor thing anyway, if it still works that way) Does this mean I'll have +1 icons every time I reach the required number of posts, or did you fixate me into being a HT? XD

Its pretty hard to rate pvp though, once you get to the highest level, build plays a huge part of it. And because of the limited scouting in pvp luck also plays a roll as I'm sure you know.

Excellent, EXCELLENT game. Much played great, but was just barely outclassed by Best. Hectic pace the whole way through, with Best's multitasking allowing him to storm drop effectively during the heated fighting.

I know many have already commented on this, but...
Best's storms were sooooooooo good. In that one earlier battle he had just ONE storm at his disposal. He hit a clump of 10+ zealots and narrowly won that one. Same in later encounters, he always hit the zealot groups spot on.

I think Much played too cautious. Especially during the first major attack on Best's expo, he didn't take advantage and kill the dragoons or attack, despite having the larger army. He just attacked the nexus a few times and retreated. The same with the second battle on night ground. He had and overwhelming number of zealots to Best, but he decided to stay back, and ended up losing his expo and, coupled with the storm drop, lost him the game.

Best's storms were dazzling he hit the exact spot time after time and continually made up ground after being behind early.

That was a nice game. Both played really well, but Best just was more deadly with his storms. Even if Much often came out on top, he couldn't keep up in eco.

Because in general spliting your army is a huge risk that is not worth taking. If either group gets caught off guard it will be slaughtered and youll basically auto lose. Not worth it. Best to keep it together and gain advantages more safely when you think you can (ie: moving your ball to kill some stray units).

That game only told me that this series won't be a cake walk for Best. The game was quite back and forth, with Much still managing to make the best of a more or less failed cheese, by doubling down with a proxy templar tech (loved it!). Its really too bad that he let that last snuck in DT hit the nexus once before going for probes, he might have gotten a few with Best moving his army in on Much's base and using his other obs to check for DTs sneaking in from above. After that, the game looked fairly even for quite awhile a little in Much's favor though, especially when he took down Best's third. At the same time though, I think (could be wrong) Best was outupgrading Much, which is the reason Much looked reluctant to engage in those crucial midgame battles because of their proximity to Best's main (quick upgraded reinforcements woulda been > Much's leftovers), and also allowed him to build energy on his tempars.
Best's DT drop in Much's main I think is the point where the game tipped slightly in Best's favor, and although Much was still in it, Best just never gave up that advantage. His storms were spot on and didn't leave much room for Much to climb back in to it. The storm drop on Much's main was more or less useless, but the one on his 3rd firmly clinched the game in Best's favor, effectively shutting down any hopes for Much even up on expansions by raping his probe count.
Good game though, and I'm looking forward to the rest of their series next week.

It becomes a positioning battle then. Your opponent will be looking to quickly cut off the escape route to the other group as quickly as possible with his entire army(keep in mind he has obs too). Then move in on one of the isolated groups. Its up to you to have the skills and notice him doing this and reposition your forces close
together. Either way it creats a weakness your opponent can potentionally capitalize on. Why expose a weakness?
On the other hand if you feel youre much better than them at controling you could always try to flank/surround. Then splitting your army wouldn't be such a bad idea. You would have to be looking to bait him into attacking (maybe after adding extra gates early and cutting probes a bit or something like this).

12hatch should be stronger against anything but FE is what I've found, but I'm not exactly gosu.

the game of tonight, for me, will be Flash vs Luxury. It took so long for someone (apart from Best) to take down giant Flash spectacularly. It is no easy strategy or feat to pull off, something of the ordinary. This game blows the roof off. This game will probably go down as one of the best to me, thinking of the pressures situation and odds Luxury was in.

I agree, I picked out luxury as my favourite player some time before he made his first starleaugue. (I even wrote an article that most of you probably didn't see)

btw lux was a bit careless all over the time - he could made better job with his guardians, 70% of the time they were sitting in the middle of nowhere but it was ok since they served their purpose, but the most wtf moment were the idle ultras in flash's main - lux just dropped them, destroyed the fac and the control tower and while the lings were doing some job 4-5 ultras just sit there in do nothing ! its important to say that lux was attacking 7 oclock at the same time but his multitasking was kinda bad this game. I just cant say anything about flash's play - he needed to get more dropships and be more aggressive in his effort of destroying lux's tech tree... flash is just waaay to passive in early to midgame, we all know that we is a late game +3/+3 monster but his ultra safe game in the first maybe 10 min turn out to be some sort of a problem. Best punished him for that , now lux made a profit from the same thing. Anyway I think flash will get himself 2gather and thou I dont like him at all he will prevail once again

yeah, i agree. In some of other Flash's games, he likes to build fewer units (fewer defence) in return for faster expansions and strive to out macro his opponents. Flash uses his superior micro to hold on as defense until his econony kicks in. I have seen savior do it with zerg, spreading his defences thin in the first 10 minutes. It is an interesting concept and can pay off in the late game. It is exciting and reminds me of Iloveoov. lol.

Yea I noticed that too. Flash tends to do an ULTRA greedy strategy, even moreso than oov. For crying out loud he sacrified scouting for a superior econ vs. Best (a pretty cocky decision that didn't pay off). Flash is like oov but with better micro, greedier macro, and better game sense (except when he does things like not scout).

yeah flash is greedy - thats what he is... on the other games , i've just watched them again best vs much was very fun to watch, you get the feeling much is trying to do anything to distract best and not letting him to play his own game. I think much couldnt keep it up the hole game- I mean his game plan was so intense from the beginning, he played perfect mind games with best - is his zeal/probe micro really good, can he take the hidden templar tech. Actually best handled it all quite good but as a matter of fact much was like 20 supply ahead for about 2-3 maybe even 5 minutes, but he was quite passive, and even when he decide to push against best's 3rd he could make the right choice, it was like "should I snipe the nexus, or battle his units". In general much was very close and I think it was his game to win, so the result has to be quite disappointing for him (for me not). And now to say smth about ... the ROCK. Well to say it right HE SUX AS HELL, he is pain to watch I wish dont see him playing ever again. He dropped the soap so badly, loosing a game in which the zerg was like 17/13 supply with only one overlord on half HP. Rock just fucked around with this overlord and made like 3 more gateways in his base (not to mention he never had the money to pump units from them like he should) . In general he tried some revolutionary stuff - no templar archives vs zerg and after that tried to expend once again in the most terrible time to do so- his probe count was low, his units count was low...damn you rock , you really suck, you cant even imagine how much you suck

Fun game, but just to address this comment from the live reports and the similar ones (I haven't read the rest of the thread yet :p ), I'm pretty sure that even without the massive cluster of lings, the dead assimilators probably gave up the hidden expansion, especially considering his late natural.

Troy is a fun to watch map. Would have been cool (probably unbalanced at foreigner levels though) to watch TSL games on it.
