Yeah, it seemed like he wanted Up to give up way before that. Up has survived crazy situations like that before, though (vs July if I remember correctly).

i don't know why you guys were saying luxury played poorly that game "noobfest" or whatever the hell you guys were talking about

he responded perfectly in that situation. his ling pressure was excellent, the decision to go 1hatch muta when he only had like 7 drones was excellent as well. then followed up by his double expo timing? sick play. not only that but he had excellent micro with his mutalisks.

It wasn't just bad control...Up made horrible decisions throughout the game, which I am lazy to point out,as I am now eating.

yeh im not sure how you can criticize lux's play there

i think maybe he could have let expo go on a bit longer? to give his lings a little longer to hatch or was it about to pop? and he pulled the drones and then hesitated and sent him back which probably didn't help.

But yeh his micro was pretty sweet!

Seriously, were you guys expecting Lux to save that hatch with drones only?

And it's not really possible to micro slow marines vs speedlings once you are surrounded.

To clarify: cancelling hatch was good, 1hatch muta was good, the sunk placement was perfect - he lost his muta vs like 2 marines, when he had like 2 mutas to watch out for. That, I called failure on his side. Aside from that, Lux really did a clutch comeback. And Up played like piss, I guess noone is debating that.
