Lecaf Oz gets to the final with really outstanding stats! You have Anytime and Jaedong that are one of the strongest if not the strongest players in the proleague...
But putting that aside, you have CJ Entus on a winning momentum, they have that champion sense! taking out OGN Sparkyz in the ace match with a breath taking game between Ma Jae and the twin! After that CJ advances to the finals by defeating MBC Hero also taking it all the way to the ace match with an ugly Darkelf looking stronger than ever!
Games to look at will be Savior/Xellos 2v2 so sexy ^_^ Of course Darkelf vs Anytime on the map that ugly face plays the best --> "Darkelf Hall" then imo the deciding game will be the starting one Jaedong vs Iris on python... seriously if Iris manages to win against Jaedong I think it will be pretty much over for Lecaf, I don't know that's just a gut feeling I have.
This man seems to be on a winning streak and looks like a champion coach already!
For me everything indicates that CJ will be taking the finals! but hey let's start the hype for this finals and let's let the experts talk about it and give us their thoughts.
that's the whole thing that I have a feeling about... I think everyone counts with a starting 1-0 in favor of lecaf because of jaedong's mu and map. But man Iris is a hell of a Terran, if he wins CJ will get that power boost!
Jaedong cant lose, especially vs a terran, as good as Iris is.. he isnt way above Sea and he looked like he was wasting Jaedong's time.
Hiya is an oddball, could surprise someone with an upset but the safe bet is the hot Much.
Stupid 2v2 choice by CJ imo. Wont be close.
Anytime and Darkelf are the other amazing mu aside from Iris/Jaedong. This is why finals are so great, both these mu's could be MSL or OSL finals imo. I have anytime winning however on the risk favoring map.
Again like Hiya I think Forgg could easily win this match, but nonetheless is the underdog. Kwanro beating Nada recently impresses me... I think with his recent ZvT focus (just played nada) he will be too much for Forgg here.
While Jy is an amazing 2v2 player the Lecaf 2v2 is simply too much.
Why would you ever Jy/Memory<Lomo/Shinhwa? They clutched it past two times and they will do it again.
The Jy/Memory team is on fire at the moment. Memory especially looks dominant in 2v2s. This is the team fresh from beating the best MBC and OGN had to offer, and their confidence will be running high.
I feel the most important and exciting match will be Anytime vs Darkelf. Think about it... Jaedong is a beast... ignoring the 1 loss to Stork in the OSL final, he has a 16 game winning streak stretching back to a proleague game vs Sea in the midst of the last stages of the OSL. CJ will be looking to take this set before Lecaf can send him out again. If they can take the Anytime game, OZ will have lost a game with their second most fierce player. They'll be demoralised, and assuming game 2 and 3 go as everybody is picking, CJ will only need 1 more win to take the series.
Jaedong > Iris Hiya < Much OZ < CJ Anytime > Darkelf ForGG < Kwanro OZ < CJ zergjooa[GsP] > Savior (if it goes to an ace match)
If it makes it to Ace, there's no doubt Jaedong will play. There's a reason why Jaedong is going first. Can't wait for that Jaedong vs. Iris match though, I hope it'll be epic :D BERSERKER FIGHTING!!!~
On January 26 2008 16:03 Alethios wrote: CJ will be looking to take this set before Lecaf can send him out again.
The zergjooa[GsP] thing was a joke... If it goes to an ace match it will be: Jaedong vs Much or Jaedong vs CJ Jaedong sniper (if CJ do the same trick they did vs MBC) or Anytime vs CJ Jaedong sniper (if OZ are too clever for it)
i hope cj wins this and im really looking forward to iris vs jaedong. If iris can show the same shape when he vsed savior and ggplay even if he loses its gonna be one helluva match <3 berzerker terran. Just hope it doesnt turn into a rape for either player.
No offence to InfesTeD]i[ but this is the fucking finals. I was looking foward to a way more epic thread with much more detail on the teams and their year and every single MU. Not just alot of pictures. Where has your passion gone?

(Z)Jaedong < (T)Iris yea, thats right, iris is going to kill jaedong. Map favour terrans (90% C.I tells me that there is an imbalance). Iris aint no shit player either (despite slump), he will take it somehow.
(T)HiyA < (P)Much Sure, Hiya is a proleague beast sporting an excellent record... but baek favours protoss (90% CI tells me ) but much is fucking much, and he's hottttttt (or atleast warm). good enoguh to take it
(Z)Bright[z-zone]/(T)Dongrae > (Z)sAviOr/(T)XellOs pfft not using xellos in 1v1? easy game for lecaf
(P)Anytime < (T)DarkElf DE is a monty hall specialist, and has taken down notable protoss here before (ala free). He takes the game. Given map is balanced (go 90% CI), imo the confidence boost from last week will push DE over the edge
(T)fOrGG > (Z)Kwanro Kwanro sucks on this map imo, forgg on the other hand has taken down lux on bluesotrm recently... close game, hoping kwanro takes it - but i got a feeling forgg has this
(T)Lomo/(Z)ShinHwA < (Z)Jy/(T)Memory CJ takes it before Ace, these two are a great team and should win
Should things fuck up... Jaedong vs either much or savior, probably savior in which case savior will win, much will lose
On January 26 2008 22:53 PuertoRican wrote: I see CJ Entus winning the PL finals. If it goes to the ace match, it will be Jaedong vs. Much, and I am taking Much for the win.
yes im also afraid that much will win the ace, since in my prediction cj is on a 3 winning streak :D but i hope for jaedong to become the next bonjwa and therefor he must take it home!
OK LET'S GET ALL PUMPED AND HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYPE THIS SHIT! EE HAN TIMING! :D
CJ I believe you and fighting! I don't see Iris defeating Jaedong after seeing how Jaedong crushed Sea ;S Maybe Berserker can pull something out of his hat or something, you never know. It's gonna be on Much defeating HiyA, which I predict btw, to gain the momentum back. From there on, it might be CJ 4-1! FIGHTING!

Why are people so hyped up about this? You do realize it means sAviOr and Xellos are like the two lowest ranked starters on CJ's roster atm, right? If they were playing well enough to get a solo match, they would. Jy/Memory is the 2v2 team CJ expects to win, the other team seems to have lost no matter what so they're just picking 2 players with great potential and hoping something good happens. But seriously, that's the throw away game for CJ.

haha and both of them are in the powerrank! something is utterly wrong with this months powerrank.
I think Savior and xellos is out of the top 10 for sure, savior might come back but for now he does not deserve that rank. Mind is also out of place, ok he defeated bisu. But what else? beating a slumping savior and a slumping oov.. blah. Luxury should be up there!! ok i fear ill get flamed for writing so much about the powerrank here, but screw u too!
I would be thinking CJ's ace is Much. Iris could certainly snipe Jaedong (he's got the timing sense for some fantastic builds) and Much has always been strong on Blue Storm, giving Jaedong plenty to work for should be be Lecaf's ace. Plus, Much is best prepared to handle Anytime given Savior's slump.
The Jy/Memory team is on fire at the moment. Memory especially looks dominant in 2v2s. This is the team fresh from beating the best MBC and OGN had to offer, and their confidence will be running high.
Actually, to be fair to OGN, Jy/Mania did not play the best they had to offer, aka Flower/Justin.
Anyway I still believe CJ takes it 4-1, with Jaedong beating Iris.

Both lost their OSL match. So they must be practicing 2on2 hard. Right? RIGHT???
On a more serious note, if I remember correctly Savior was known for decent 2on2. No idea about Xellos, but maybe they can work something out. By sheer individual skill, they should beat any 2on2 team.
The sheer point is that individual skill does almost nothing to make you a good 2v2 player. 2v2 losses by star players happened way too often to even try linking 1v1 and 2v2 skill factors (that is on the highest level ofc, jumping from mouse-only to 400 apm will probably improve 2v2 as well)
but in all reality, i wonder how savior/xellos team will do. i dunno bout xellos, but savior was an awesome 2v2 player before he made it big so.... we shall see, we shall see...
anytime vs darkelf.... my heart is rooting for anytime here but it aint fall no more T____T
jaedong has been utter unstoppable... i dont get it man, you always know he is gonna bust out those mutas yet EVERY FUCKIN TERRAN DIES O_O;; it makes no sense. just like savior back in the day when you KNEW he was going 3 hatch, but still somehow fucked up knowing his strats. godly and iris will probably die.
hiya vs much is a tossup. i mean the map favors much, much is doing awesome, but for some reason i sense an upset here... hiya aint no pushover though but much will probably take this.
lomo/shinhwa will not lose.. they have been amazing 2v2 team this year.
forgg vs kwanro should be very interesting..... hoping kwanro wins but yeah... kwanro is pretty badass z v t
Savior played pretty well in his last 2v2 game so it makes sense to play him again. I shall look forward to that 2v2 just to see some imbalanced Muta micro from Savior.
While I agree that 1on1 skill does not automatically generate 2on2 skill, I am quite sure that Savior and Xellos will not behave like cannon fodder and will have something prepared.
wth??? SaviOr and Xellos 2 player with Zer0 self-confidence at the moment against one of the best 2v2 team? Anyhow CJ win 4-3 after being behind 1-3. Savior win the ace game against JD.

anytime woud be an equal if not better choice for the ace match jaedong is osl champ but anytime is proleague mvp and this is a proleague match

I think Iris will try to do what Jaedong loses most often to: Solid defense at the beginning, strong midgame push and hope for JD to go for the too early kill with too low eco.
Hang on, if when CJ wins this doesn't that mean that it's CJ vs Khan for the Grand Final, which in turn means that theres a possibility sAviOr can rape FBH in an Ace match?

Sniper in this sense is someone who trains in the MU and/or map to be sent against a specific player. It's used when you know what race will show up on a map, or in this case, Jaedong almost certainly been sent out for ace match.
Since Jaedong will wipe the floor with Iris, I thought Lecaf would send out another player? I thought the Ace match wasn't there to send your best player out everytime. But then my understanding of the way Proleague works is limited.

I think Jaedong is expected ace for a couple reasons. First would be he's the best player around right now and that I don't think anyone on CJ could beat him. Second (for me at least), is that the map is Blue Storm, aka Zerg Heaven... Dunno what other people think though.

Hey thanks, that is an awesome blog entry.
<3 TL.net and it's enlightening members.
Snipers fighting! (though I'd like to see Jaedong continue his beastliness here)
I really wouldn't bet against Jaedong in a ZvT MU. It's like forsaking rice, pizza or potatoes or something.
(T)Hiya < (P)Much
As already mentioned, both players have been beastly lately. Both their records aside, they'll be playing on Baekmagoji which favors Much.
(Z)Bright/(T)Dongrae > (Z)saviOr/(T)XellOs
This was hard to call objectively, the Maestro being my favorite Z player (along with YellOw/Hong Jin Ho) and XellOs being my favorite T player next to NaDa and LYH. Unfortunately, I haven't seen these two in action as a team so I'd have to call Lecaf by default. Don't count CJ out though.
(P)Anytime < (T)DarkElf
Monty Hall + DarkElf = chiji! Seriously, everything that needs to be said has already been said. On one hand you have a player who is good, but is given more credit than he deserves (as much as I'm a fan of Anytime, I really wouldn't hype him against anyone as I would the Mantoss or Beesuit) and on the other, you have an underrated player who has been coming into his own as of late.
(T)fOrGG < (Z)KwanRo
KwanRo is riding a huge wave of momentum at the moment and that works to his advantage. That win over NaDa was surely a big boost to his confidence, plus KwanRo has been good in terms of ZvT lately.
(T)Lomo/(Z)Shinwha < (Z)Jy/(T)Memory
This is more of a gut feel than anything, with me liking CJ over Lecaf.
CJ 4, Lecaf 2.
If it goes to ace, it'll probably be (Z)LJD v. (P)Much or (Z)saviOr. Both matches could go either way, IMO. Maybe CJ will send out the Maestro, and he'll type in his name as IPXZerg and re-start the Ma Jae Yoon era, prompting us to believe that he's been losing all of his previous matches on purpose. My prediction hinges on Lecaf surviving to Ace and them sending Jaedong to win. Jaedong ZvZ and ZvT is imba, ZvT and ZvP are favorable on Blue Storm, Much is no PvZ god and CJ has no other tosses, and Jaedong can win ZvP on Blue Storm even against Bisu, so Jaedong would be a natural choice to win probably if it got there. I'm not even predicting the 2v2s, so since all teams seem about equal--Savior/Xellos obviously has 1v1 name value, but that doesn't necessarily mean much--I'll guess a 1-1 split is most likely there. Anytime vs. DarkElf may be the tightest match of the night, but I'm going with Anytime with a slight edge even against Monty Hall (sometime known as Protoss Hall?) specialist DarkElf. Kwanro...I don't like Kwanro from what I've seen, but if he can show a solid game I'll be pleased. Exclamation points give my values of certainty for the outcome.
Lecaf's bringing the two proven 1v1 players, with this season's 3rd 1v1 player (Hiya) combined with last season's 3rd 1v1 player (ForGG). Anybody surprised?
anytime jaedong is sent out, the audience is pretty much waiting forgg. If my memory serves me, he has been the savior of lecaf this season so I expect lecaf to take this.
Jaedong will rape Iris c'mon gramps you can do it! savior and xellos FTW plz! protoss will pwn terran anytime! kwanro plz destroy forgg Oz Savior vs Anytime! ( me hopes Savior!!!) CJ 4-3 woohoo!
Jaedong looking very confident, Iris not so. Anyway, hard to see anything from the smoke :D. I don't kknow if LRs are necessary, i bet everyone will listen to the shoutcast.
Jaedong always looks so bored and boring, and that's why I wish he wasn't the best zerg in the world... I really dislike him. Please Sexy! Show us that old fire you once had. Another OSL3 game 5 please!

The koreans don't know it yet, but they could make big money on crazy americans on ebay wanting that kind of stuff. I would personally like a Cj-longsleve t-shirt (to wear, they look quite nice). Preferably worn by Much, the sweatiest progamer in history.
I'd buy a KTF jacket so fast
Hmm, maybe Luxury has his old jacket left for sale?
why do always jaedong have so lucky with the positions and he always has the luck to scout in right direction!?!?!?! hate that bastard for the moment!!
Both took their natural, Iris has a bunker there. Jaedong is upgrading to Lair at his natural. Iris adding his 2nd barracks right now. Will be an early muta harass. Jaedong is claiming the 6 oclock base soon as it seems.
Iris adding towers at his mineral lines as the first mutas hatch. Most likely he will have 2 per base. Mutas are pinning the MM to his base. Hydra den morphing for JD.
Iris holding his ground pretty well, Iris has a starport up already with addon. Queen's nest up for Jaedong and instantly morphing his hive. Iris getting his vessel soon.
Jaedong losing three Mutas while traversing Iris' natural, switched to lurkers. Iris grouping his marines up, Jaedong containing with four lurkers round about.
JD lost all mutas while crossing Iris' base once more. Iris moving out but losing some rines to lurker fire. Jaedong has 6-7 lurkers and defiler den done.
Ultra cavern morphing for Jaedong. Iris doing a good job at irradiating defilers. Plague is kicking in now. Iris laying mines now to counter lurkers. Iris claimed top left. Iris trying to push for 6, but too many lurkers there.
On January 27 2008 17:51 TheTyranid wrote: Goddam. Reading live reports is much more nerveracking than watching the game. You never know what's going to be posted next.
Ultras should be morphing pretty soon. Jaedong with many lings now. Iris still gearing up for attacking 6 o clock, irradiating the defending lurkers, charging in finally and taking them out.
Jaedong takes out 3-4 vessels during and engagement in the middle. Jaedong morphing ultras right now. Iris has 2-2 upgrades and adding more firebats against the zerglings.
Iris is doing a very good job keeping up in the macro, if this continues on, he might be able to take the game! :D Cow herd out massacring shit in the middle.
Jaedong took top right as well now. Iris barely holds the middle against some ultraling, but he is lacking creativity in where to strike. Adding mre tanks now. Finally Iris got off some irradiates on a bunch of ultras. Doom drop coming for Iris base.
Lots of ruins at Iris main base. The MM group at 6 survied a while but got taken down fast. Iris with some dual irradiate on his vessels before the get taken down by scourge.
Jaedong now sending Ultras to top left, killed most of the marines there. Some marines get intercepted in the middle of the map. Zerg pouring all over the map now.

That was an awesome game. Too bad the wrong guy won : /. Iris at least showed that he hasn't gone away for good. Now he just has to qualify for starleagues (at least one of them.......).
Anyone else agree that this game was a battle of APM?
Iris couldn't manage all of his units, and lost a few vessels and marines here and there. Jaedong managed to swarm EVERY single attack Iris attempted (6 oclock comes to mind).
I didn't understand the plan for battle by Iris. What he wanted to do? Especially i didn't understand why he gave Jaedong to take islands so easy if he knew that this guy has drop....
Jaedong's only vulnerable matchup remains his PvZ and that doesn't bode well for everyone except Much in CJ's lineup. Which is why we really need Bisu to make it out of his group in the OSL and give us a bo3/5.
Well, either that or Sheis. I'd probably still bet on Jaedong, though.

Agree with you. Iris should commit to one target then finish it off. If he finished 6 o'clock, the game would be his.
I dunno, I love and hate Iris at the same time. I love him for the quality of games he produces, because he always matches his skill to be exactly a small bit lower than what it takes to win the game. But I hate it for always "almost" making it. There ain't exactly a great thrill in knowing he will fight and lose.
At the same time, I sympathize him alot. He must hate those swarms with a passion.

he DID try to get six many times (six natural)
jd just defended it really well iris did a good job holding the center and expoing but drops fucked him over i dont get why he didnt get dropships though
AND he should have kept on getting vultures and mining up the center

Nydus and Swarm isn't gonna let Iris take it with what he had that game. It's not like Iris didn't press. I just saw clouds everywhere important. Just like good ol Savior.
BTY, Iris did manage some amazing plays: keeping his 2 marines alive for more than 1 minute at 6' nat, matrix his scv at the ramp to 9 o'clock to block ultras
Ya replay analysis in playback showed Iris never scouted the islands. I'm sure if he knew Jaedong was overexpanding with no D he would have taken them down with dropships.
i think iris made a mistake by retreating his vessels from 6 when jaedong dropped his main. he let jaedong get down mass swarm to defend. and i don't think his vessel cloud made it make to his main. its like he suddenly saw the opportunity to kill 6 and he brought his vessels back mid map.
Three goons broke through, Hiya fighting back with scvs, goons are raping the scs. Perfect surround on one goon, but he is losing so much mining time. Goon reinforcements are rolling.
That match reminds me of Much vs Light on same map from Pro League. Except Light handled Much's 2 gate infinitely better than Hiya and actually survived into the mid/late game.
I bet Savior and Xellos are going to stomp on Lecaf in the next game. Looking at their horrible performance in this week's OSL, I don't think they've been practising anything but 2v2!
Actually, you know what that match reminded me of... It reminded me of the times when CJ played in the playoffs like they did in the regular league games and got their arses handed to them by MBC, who always step up their games when it comes to the playoffs.
If Lecaf is counting on playing like they normally do, they're going to be in for a painful ride. With the exception of Iris's play against Bisu, every other play, even involving the slumpiest or rawest of CJ players, has been of high quality.
Now, COME ON. Players look ready, GAME STARTED Lecaf is allied teal zerg and red terran, yellow Savior and purple Xellos. CJ has Xellos top left and Savior bottom right, top right is Lecaf Zerg, bottom left accordinly Lecaf Terran.
Xellos' vultures are stopping mining at teal base! Get chased away in the end by mutas. Xellos loses his dropship to vultures, savior gets red dropship in 2nd attempt.
Savior is controlling teal's muta count, Xellos has the high ground above red terran's base. Savior apparently still scourge only against the mutas. Xellos apparently still without range upgrade for Goliaths. Xellos is effectively stopping red from mining.
Xellos standing in teal mineral line with his goliaths as well. Finally Lecaf clears out the goliaths on high ground over red base. I see a valkyrie for Xellos!
YOU KNOW HOW MANY MUTAS I BUILT? TWO!! Savior did like nothing expect hittign with scourge. if his gas wasnt fucked up this would be a better steamroll.
On January 27 2008 19:13 noobienoob wrote: what a whack ass game, the only thing savior's made is scourge haha, and the other two are getting owned by xellos
I think saviors scourges had more effect then u guys are saying. Constantly there was a thread from those scourges. Mutás coudn't harass properly and dropships cound't be used to fight xellos' high ground goliaths.
I think it wasnt 1v2 but defenitly 2v2 but with savior taking a more supporting and threatening function.

Savior made sure he scouted the Terran first. Is that normal on this map?
And yes, I agree. Many times Lecaf tried to join forces and clear Xellos's golis, but Savior always kept them separated.
Think sunken positioning was tricky as well. He positioned his first sunken as best he could, but I think he really needed two to effectively cover his base. If he had positioned his first sunken any differently his min line wouldn't have been covered.

The following games are imho deciding how this is going to end. The first three games where higly predictable.
As is said before, When terran plays the DarkElf's Hall, he is doing good.. but is anytime somone that is threatend by darkelf this easily? Anytime is this proleague's MVP right?
Darkelf with Barracks on upper mineral line, anytime sends a probe to the expansion above his base and expands there. Darkelf also sending a scv to upper lane and getting a factory.
Anytime pylons himself into Darkelf's base and finds the factory. Anytime mined away the patch leading to his expansion, so that lane is open. Darkelf mining away the lower entrance of his base. First ulture for Darkelf kills the scouting probe and sends a vulture towards anytime's expansion. Anytime has 2 gates now, Darkelf is building a CC near the middle lane.
Scouting vulture is dispatched after getting about four probes on its way. Anytime should have an advantage now with the early expansion, but Darkelf is double expanding now, below his base and with the floating CC to the middle lane.
Anytime advancing towards the lower lane. Darkelf has 3 tanks ready for the defence.Darkelf mined towards the middle lane and will float his CCthere now. Anytime taking the base left of his main. Engineering bay going up for DE. Anytime charges in with goons against the tanks and manages to kill them all. Scvs are fighting back and 2 goons remain.
Three more goons coming in, only one tank left for darkelf. Lots of scvs fighting, but there are 2 goons in his main base. Looks like darkelf overextended himself with the two expansions, the goons are raping him.
On January 26 2008 19:52 Mannerheim wrote: You can already count a 2-0 lead for Lecaf, as there's no way LJD or Anytime will lose. The others could go either way though.

Yeah, it was not so much that Darkelf played too risky, but more so that Anytime made a really good decision by attacking there. He didn't scout the middle CC but he must have sensed it somehow.

Did he even scout the tanks before he berserked in? It wouldn't have been anything special if he had an obs there but without it's kinda hard to see how many he has.
I believe in Froggy! He'll rape Kwanro with his cool mecha build.

Ok, MBC is telling me it is NINE and THREE. But my clock looks different. ForGG going for two raxx opening, Kwanro expanding at his natural before pool.
Kwanro took awfully long to find forGG, now his drone is passing the 2 raxx which Never_v_ has put up. Drone is brutally slaughtered, Kwanro going for a third hatch. ForGG expanding with 2 marines standing guard.
Kwanro only with 2 lings so far, 4 rines standing at the expansion. Kwanro getting slightly late gas. 4 rines moving out for forGG. Kwanro teching to Lair. ForGG is mercilessly slaughtering the pylon in his base with 10 marines. No medics yet. Kwanro has one sunken up and lair finished. 10 rines are keeping the zerglings in front of ForGGs base at bay.
GorGG coming in with a strong push, 10 marines, 2 medics, 2 firebats. Kwanro has 3 sunkens up, but there should be enough infantry there to make the break. Drones are pulled for defence. Lecaf team is cheering already. Drones get put down, infantry is through, Kwanro looks DEAD.
Mutas are clearing up the mess in his base, but he lost his expansion. ForGG is turreting up.
ForGG has plenty of turrets, Kwanro is not getting much harass done and losing one muta. Infantry building up, Kwanro reexpanding, harassing haplessly and losing 3 mutas right there.
really poorly play by Kwanro he saw the push and the forces long way before the arrived. He should have anticipated that he would need more then 3sunkern.
It's not like Jaedong is invincible... And you guys predicted that CJ would take this 2v2. And why are you so sure they'd sent Jaedong out on Blue Storm?

Sometimes a team tries to be tricky. But in this case, Jaedong would be a great zerg on a zerg map. It doesn't matter if CJ sees it coming a mile away. They'll still play Jaedong. I think.
Agree with audiocast that IF there is an acematch, Much would be the best option to send. Savior vs. Jaedong would be too much of a gamble, and if Lecaf decides to send Anytime through some strange idea, Much will still have a decent chance.

Because Jaedong rocks on Blue Storm and if anything its a lovely map for Zerg?

Blue storm is a Z imba map. Jaedong is by far the hottest player at the moment.
It only makes sence for them to send him out.
Only much has a real chance of beating Jaedong imo.

CJ Terran with armory and breaking out of his base. Actually, all look like they want to break free. Lecaf T sending a vulture into blue zerg base, racking upsome ling and drone kills. Jy sending his drones after the vulture, economic setback here. Gets killed after 6 kills. Red zerg faster with his mutas, just hatched a few. Mania moving out his goliaths to somewhere.zergs battle at blue base.
Lecaf terran killing off the offensive extractor outside of jy's base. Mania coming for the rescue, but red mutas reaching a critical mass soon. Lecaf will be taking this as it looks. Goliaths walking into blue base.
laugh i truly understand why jy was crying in the end... he could've blocked that first vulture easily with the amount of drones blocking the path way but its just because of 1 drone and let the vulture escaped with 25hp causing cj the game. im wondering why no one commented about memory's attempt to get up shinhwa's name lol its funny how he tried it for 20 seconds and failed. wtf

I trusted in Kwanro. Any other maches were exactly the same I predicted. It was my best liquibet season... Oh, who cares, the others will lose the next finals. :D
Jaedong is a monster. If he keeps playing the same way for the next month, I see him being the 1st guy in winning OSL / MSL / Proleague during the same period time. Scary.

That happened to both DE AND Kwanro too! DE fails to block with 1 scv a little quicker, costs him the game. Kwanro is a moron who doesnt prepare for the most basic timed academy attack and gets owned.
Well,, Jaedong's ZvT continues to be fuckin amazing! Iris did not play badly at all, in fact he showed that he still has some of the best TvZ out there in that match, his control was so good, but he still couldn't win! It's a shame some of the other games couldn't have been a bit closer. I like both teams though so I didn't mind who won. This sets up a great chance for revenge for Lecaf in the Grand Final. I really hope JAedong gets matched up against FBH and completely destroys him.

I was really rooting for CJ and felt that they had it after Savior and Xellos took that 2v2, but then DE and Kwanro lost to early game mistakes. The last match was so depressing to watch as a CJ fan, too, because you could tell the result so early in the match; there wasn't even hope. ;_;

No, what happens is that if a team wins both R1 and R2 of that PL season, then they do another Playoff R1, Playoff R2, Grand Final. Except the stats that determine the teams this time are their PL stats from R1 and R2 combined.
In SKY2005 PL, SKT1 won both R1 (over KTF) and R2 finals (over Samsung). Then the teams combined their stats from R1 and R2 and the new ranks deteremined the team's order, except for SKT1 who got went to the finals automatically (which means sense). KTF eventually came up again to face SKT1, where the lost again. (thus SKT1 achieves what they called the "Tripple Crown", R1 Finals, R2 Finals, Grand Finals).
Additionally, SKT1 won the R1 finals (over MBC) of the SKY Proleague 2006, which put them on top for 4 consecutive finals.
Then BoxeR joined the army and it all spiraled downwards. :p

This is a fact.
And to answer the question above: I think Brazzi cuts the games in such a way that everything but the game is cut off. Try getting the VODs from the tracker and check the second game.

Let's put a bet on Anytime vs. DarkElf games.
If Anytime wins, I won't post here for 1 week. If Anytime loses, you don't post here for 1 week.
I would take your money instead, but I don't know you.
Deal?
I'll take that bet.
Done.
Guess we won't be hearing from you for a while? 1 week ban or is this on the honor system?
Yay 8 points.
The level of play in the Iris/Jaedong game was sickkkkkk. Jaedong played so well to win that. Iris's strategy was perfect with the midgame mass vults into late game mass tanks.

Seriously. That was the match right there. But let's not be too critical of him ... for now anyways.

Pretty onesided and no upsets. Game 1 was good, but I never saw Iris winning at any point.
Anytime showed why hes a champion and why Darkelf will never be one.
Balls of steel at that first attack.
After 6 kills on the vult and losing his first goon without doing any damage you would think hed do something desperate, but he kept calm. And its not like he was allining either, he took his 2nd expo right before attacking.
OH YOUNG JONG!!! OH YOUNG JONG!!! SENSU!! SENSU!!
Lecaf coachs gf/wife was cute.
I like how Anytimes mother and the Lecaf coach speaks to themselves while watching the games. Also liked how someone had dressed up as the Grim Reaper(Anytimes DTs, and nickname Sasin Toss) among the Lecaf fans.
Finally I hope Lecaf wins the Grand Final with Anytime winning against Stork in the decider. But first I want FBH to rape Jaedong(he needs it now, kid starting to get cocky), and do a ridiculous dance.

there wouldn't be any grand finals, they'd just win. i cant remember where i read that though.
I think I just saw that in 2005, SKT1 won both finals, and then they played KTF in grand finals... They beat KTF in R1 Finals already.... Maybe 2 teams that already lost from that team that won both rounds play to see who will play against it in grand finals? Or not?
Anyway, when are grand finals now?
Tnx for the info Now if you could tell me when are the grand finals?
FiFo calendar doesn't have it marked down, so I'm guessing the date hasn't been determined yet.

Iris had an advantage when he had a very large army with 5 tanks right outfront of Jaedongs Nat.
Jaedong even threw his initial army at it and did basically no damage. However Iris was unable to advance because of darkswarm and after a minute or so darkswarms covered the army and reenforcements, despite being far less in number, were able to effciently take it out. Had Iris been able to scan and take out all the defiliers (very very difficult to do) he may have been able to take out the nat/main. Jaedong showed incredible resolve in stopping that. Keep in mind at that time it was 4 base to 4 base.
