I'm not saying it was match fixing, but I also wouldn't be shocked if people start asking questions. The 4-pool game already looked thrown. That marine taking two full seconds to correct direction was unbelievable. At this level, that is not a "small mistake." That is the kind of mistake that makes you pause the VOD and ask what the hell you just watched. And then the last game? Forfeiting while having more supply? Come on. Maybe there's some hidden explanation, but from the outside this looked terrible. Questionable at best, embarrassing at worst. Disappointing as hell. | ||

Everyone should rewatch the last game. I even wrote some notes on what happened to be as unbiased as possible (hit the spoiler below). + Show Spoiler + Soma went 9 overpool and a scout at the same time as overlord Goes 12 pool as a response Scout delays CC a couple of seconds and rax by a lot 4 secs 10 drones mining, gas up when he's delaying rax Flash also has an SCV pulled so his economy is not really going too smoothly 9 mining Soma pulls 4 drones 1 SCV goes scout Flash sends another SCV down to build the second depot Flash sends 5 SCVs down to the nat area to defend and has 5 mining Flash loses 1 SCV 6 lings coming in Soma loses a drone Flash loses a SCV Loses another SCV Supply is even at this point! Bunker going up Marine out Loses a drone Lings arrive to nat Loses 3 lings and a drone 2 lings join Flash's best position was at 3:47 when he had 14 SCVs (not counting the wandering scouting SCV) and 3 marines. This is where people say Flash still had a chance if he moved to the nat. And I agree, moving to the nat was the best thing he could do. But he was still cooked and would've gg'd in 5 mins. At that time, Soma would've had 7 drones in his base, starting nat hatch, and lair, with Flash bottled in between 5 speedlings and 2 drones in his main, and 6 speedlings outside his choke. Soma would've droned up heavily, and Flash would not be able to contest it unless he sat there massing basic marines and getting Academy tech, which requires serious amounts of time. Off one base with 7 mineral patches. Terran doesn't want to be in the position of macroing heavily on a weak economy on basic stuff just to contest and get map control. And he had no gas and not even a refinery started. He was so far behind he had to gg to save face, or the next few minutes would've just embarrassing for him. Lastly, I had already seen a match on MP with a top level Zerg and Terran that went like this, the Terran moved to his nat about as quickly as sensibly be. Zerg surrounded him, out-teched him, and he got ripped apart by Mutas. It is such a tactical disadvantage to be at the nat. | ||

So there's 8 drones. Idk how people are making such a silly mistake with supply count. FlaSh definitely was losing when he GGed. Could've been a hair premature, but definitely behind. But I wonder why he didn't just give up the main and mine from his natural when he got the bunker up. He had done a brilliant drill and killed 3 lings and like 2 drones. Just mine from the natural, lift the main CC, and go 2 rax acad to retake the main... So disappointing, shocking decision making. | ||

game was over from there. i think maybe some people in thread have watched too many 4 pool games. would have been hard to do anything with match point’s natural. his mental game crumbled after the way he lost the base race and the 8 rax game. then he was put into the mud with the successful drone+speedling rush on the final map | ||
