This is the right one:  SpeedAnd like I said in a previous thread. Linking to SOSPA is dead. It's better to link to Liquipedia pages. Unless the Teamliquidifying function can be rewritten to link to Liquipedia, we are stuck with just manually putting in the race image plus the text with the link to Liquipedia. | ||

I don't remember which finals did Speed win but I also don't remember his past 2 appearances in the league -- I hope he makes a good impression and shows good games. But I think Best and action is going to move on. Best is not worse than in previous seasons, he is consistent and experienced. Action has retired and un-retired and whatever but I think he can snipe both Terrans. I mostly enjoyed last weeks games on the maps so let's go~~! | ||

The sair / dt rush I think was okay unless it was intended as an all-in. But leaving the battlefield without corsairs or dt just left a void in the army composition that protoss would want against mutas. Best prepared okay but played bad, I guess his last place is well deserved. | ||

His form has been kinda meh lately. However, he's still good enough to beat Speed and at least 50/50 with Action (that is to say, if they play a long series like Bo7). I think his build choices in both games aren't good and he got countered both times and he couldn't overcome the difficulty of falling behind. | ||

Speed went 3-0 on ladder. then went 2-0, 2-1, 2-1 vs Soma in sponsor matches, and the wins were FAST and VERY decisive. then they played one more ladder game and Speed also won that. 10-2 score. The rest of the year he performed about 50/50 vs top 16 players. Around June of 2024 he suddenly came out swinging with MASSIVE series wins over Mini and Jaedong spanning multiple spon series. Also did really well in KCM, and not just once but multiple times. He started getting into more Major Proleagues and he was doing better than the bottom MPL performers. And then I saw a game last week of Speed vs Mini and Speed's multitasking was insane. He was out rotating, out moving and out speeding Mini. Sea though. Expected him to Crash and burn. | ||

To be fair he didn't demonstrate amazing micro or multitasking skills or tricky army movement and such. He just picked a build that suits his current level best and executed it solidly, twice. The map in the second game helped too. No way Sea could 2-0 Action with SK Terran but it's also on Action for coming unprepared against Goliath build. Also wouldn't be surprised if Sea made a call to Flash for advice. | ||

I never thought both Speed & Sea would move on, to be honest. I kinda expected Speed to upset either Best or especially Action since Action came in a bit rusty, but to see Sea beat Action 2-0 was very surprising. Happy for the guy -- he’s always been great with his fan base and was actually one of the very few who spent a decent amount of time here on TL back in 2008-2009, just kicking it with the foreign scene. Oh well, after a disappointment in Group C, Group D didn’t disappoint at all. Excited for tomorrow. I think it’s safe to say that this is the easiest group Light could’ve asked for, and I just can’t see him not advancing. After that, I’m not sure who to pick between JD & Shine. JD is actually in good shape, and so is Shine. Looking forward to it, and congrats to both Speed & Sea! As a Terran player (well… 80% Terran player), that made me smile  Feeling bad for both Best & Action though... especially Action. He’s nowhere near playing at his potential level right now… not really sure what’s going on with him. | ||

His ceiling is much higher. I once saw Action as a potential ASL champion, and he came close to it. But as you said, since his return, he hasn’t been the same. It wasn’t too long ago that he was actually getting decent results. Best, on the other hand, has been consistent, so seeing him lose like that is a bit more shocking, as I thought he was a lock in that group. | ||

I don't know if Sea practiced at all or just got lucky by default but losing vs. ex pro/streamer when you train so much gonna hurt Action, I hope he won't announce his retirement again. | ||

In fact, right now he has 8 wins in a row, including 5 victories today, four of which are against + Show Spoiler + Rush, Light, Mini and Sharp And Action is not like Snow, Light or Best that play well online and then choke onthe stage. | ||

I don't remember even the matchup just that perplexed feeling, like 'why???'. if this reminds anyone of an action (or other) player's matches with premature gg's please help me out! Not to say it doesn't, it certainly seems weird when you line all this up -- just that gg'ing is on a spectrum, and some are on the hasty end (like Mini does it too). | ||
