If Hero rips the Terran bracket apart & SK trashes the Protoss half... let them duke it out! One of the few times I would love to see it as a final!

After game 1 I thought this might be another 3-0 for Rush like last season, but he made a lot of weird mistakes in game 2 (over-stimming, killing own marine, double science science facility). Something really threw him off his tempo that game.

Tesagi moaners begone. Also, any Terran not banning Dark Origin just wants an autoloss.

Strongest race in tourney but not online plays. Zerg is the lowest performer since 2022 across 5000+ game sample sizes. I hate when ignorant foreginers just look at ASL results.

He wasn't able to do significant damage with his drops, lost his ships, committed a lot of army to the drops, ended up losing his vessels with relatively little use & wasn't really able to take good advantage out of his BC's. Aside from Hero starting out with a weaker opening, he bounced back with an early 3rd base while pushing his eco. He generally had good muta engagements with little losses, did an excellent job defending and played all his cards right. Yet it looked like he was very close to falling apart regardless... Hero was able to swing momentum back around after defending a 4 dropship drop, taking out the valks and the vessels. If anything, I felt game 2 showed how elite Zerg has to be at defending Terran pressure - and even if when done right, there still is a 4 base Terran to engage. Overall Hero's been looking very decisive and in great form in all of his games this season & continued to show it off vs a sloppy (but by no means terrible) Rush. Really looking forward to the RO4 with both Sharp & Hero being on fire.

He played a very passive game, drained the potency of his army by overstimming, had some misclicks, built 2 science facilities, had a couple sloppy engagements & didn't get any use out of his valks. Same, that game felt so weird for the longest time. I was like "he is not building many units, no infrastructere, no tech; he is not out on the map; what is he doing?!"... Added with the uncharacteristic mistakes, it felt quite odd. He almost bounced back from the early to mid game with great drops and attacks (those well placed groups of units to catch reinforcement routes were quite clutch) but it just a little too late.

Dang. Finally good to see Hero win vs Terran in a Ro8 (and possibly beyond)? Definitely feel he's gonna be the favorite vs Sharp who has notably weaker TvZ. HERO WIN IT ALL!

You started the timeline thing and then act surprised. Poor attempt my friend. Fact of the matter is that hero was basically like Best but unlike Sharp who actually prepared for the matches, Rush came in with his usual MM macro beast shtick and suicided himself against an extremely passive opponent. And I actually like hero.

HERO WIN IT ALL! + Show Spoiler + I have always considered TvP to be Sharp's worst match up and he just solidly beat Best. I don't remember Sharp looking ever as solid as he did in this ASL tbh. Rush made some uncharacteristic mistakes vs Hero and wasn't quite on top of his game. I think the Sharp vs Hero can easily go either way and is pretty much 50/50 at this point.

Why did Hero send the lings away? Rush was leading with his firebats to soak sunken hits, the lings attacking from behind would've absolutely wrecked that attack. I guess Hero didn't expect Rush to go for it when he saw the lings, but why would Hero send the lings away? Makes no sense to me.
