ro8 and ro4 will still be elite, although without mini protoss be probably be eliminated early unless snow gets fed pvts and avoids the zerg powerhouses. ro16 is gonna be scrappy as hell tho

What a fortunate break for Best today. He played really well but the BW gods were on his side today. PvT on bloody ridge to kick things off, then Ample with the upset meaning he doesn’t have to face Soma in the winners match.

He was rock solid in both PvTs too.

Once again we have a victim of BO1. With Soulkey still not focusing on BW and Hero dropping off masively in form, Soma is arguably the best Zerg right now. That said what's with the Guardian build in the losers game? Why didn't he play standard.

Him and Mini, both champion contenders, going out in quite similar fashion.

Fat SoMa mindgamed himself out from this tournament. Why he made 3rd hatch out there when he could make it in normal area where he could easily defend? If your plan is to go guardians why it matters where hatchery is, Mind already scanned main where your spire is. I thought he would hydra/ling bust with mutas. He should do those risky strats on bo3/5 not on losers game. Sigh...

Old well known Mind is back to BW, that loss on terranbreak ridge doesn't count. I'm looking forward seeing how well he does vs. top pros. Ample did well but I think he's on of those terrans that you should give up hope.

Mini and Soma are out, sure, but who is the 3rd tier 1 player? Bisu was the tier 1 player in group b, or are you counting flash, cause he isnt in the tournament? Just wondering

Btw, just watched the games, cant believe i really got 2/2 LB in this group with such mad bets :D

I can understand Soma’s loss to Ample, he took one engagement with the mutas against his gols which could have honestly gone either way, but it ended up swinging the momentum and Ample just sieged his nat till it was gg. I don’t know about that guardian build and hidden third vs Mind though. You’d think he’s confident beating him with standard play… Maybe if was fate punishing him for not capitalizing the S in his ID.

Good PvT from BeSt though. Happy he got out

I thought Ample was trolling building a dozen turrets at Soma's natural in Game 1, didn't think it would be so powerful.

Glad Best made it out, really surprised to see Soma out in last place.
