This contest started with 46 submissions from 21 contestants and we are now down to the final four maps. The quality of maps in this contest was outstanding, bravo to everyone who entered and participated! So far we have had great success with our contests by adding some fresh maps into numerous leagues around the community.
It’s been a long run and it’s time to crown a champion! Test Tournament VODs— + Show Spoiler +*Butter did not have a test tournament due to already being adopted into many leagues before testing had begun. — Voting

Antroposcene has probably a lot of strategical potential. Of course, people will be afraid of it, as it may be imbalanced (and probably is) but the number of new and innovative strategies that you can develop on that map is huge. At the very least, even if some match ups would be broken, mirrors would be twice as fun to watch.
Kick Flip another great map, if some small changes were introduced.

Anthropocene looks like a fun map encouraging unorthodox builds but still with big late game potential.

First time I saw the contest maps I couldn't wait to vote for Butter. I still think it's a fantastic map but given that it has already seen so much success (appearing on ladder and in ASL), I think it's only fair to give the other mappers a shot!

I also like Butter but it's already getting some recognition. I chose Kick Flip and Sky Bridge because they seems like good standard maps. Kick Flip has a unique layout in terms of the elevation in the center of the map. Sky Bridge seems like a nice 3 player map. The way the natural high ground forks into two 3rd expansions is cool. Perhaps will alleviate the imbalance inherent to rotational symmetry a bit.
Anthropocene is cool but too funky for me. We had many weird maps last ASL season and I'm craving some normality (fingers crossed they make it into ASL).

Always curious about a new 3 player maps since I think the ever popular Longinus and Tau Cross (in the foreigner scene) are terrrrrible maps.
Didn't vote Butter because the orange tile set is fugly.
Anthropocene seems reallly interesting, but I think it has a bit too much funk. If it wasn't for the recent reintroduction of Arkanoid I would have picked this map 2nd.

I wanted to give the non-Butter maps more love but its proven to be a great map both in pro games and ladder so it gets a bit of an unfair edge but deserves #1 imo. Kickflip's my fave from the rest (gj by all).

I'd pick Sky Bridge as 2nd if it were updated probably, but latest version I've seen is not good enough.
1. Butter has been refined to excellence.
2. Kick Flip might need some tweaking still, it feels a bit off but I can't really put my finger on it yet unfortunately.
It does deserve attention and I vote for it to be 2nd place

KickFlip / Anthropocene
KickFlip to me equals a standard macro map meaning no tricky builds / Anthropecene is going to bring out weird build orders in some games which will make games interesting. these are my votes

I'd love to see Anthroposcene in the pool too, but the bridge temples are a tad too much~
Butter was nice to see in ladder, specially mirror matches. The other entries are a bit more versatile overall.

Butter is already popular and I like to see different map variety. The game play on these 2 maps seems like it would have some good balanced macro games but also something different for terrain. As someone who makes maps as well I think Minerals is a good mapmaker and hard worker and deserves a win.

-Mineral adjustments.
-Extended buildable terrain in triangular third base.
-Low ground 3rd geyser 1500 —> 2000.
-Added mineral only to 12:30/6:30.
-High plateau completely unbuildable.

That is quite a change to Kick Flip.
Are those towers at mid now droppable?
Mid expos also gotten a little high ground with a ramp between the minerals and gas?

Not dropable, still just an overlord space.
Mid expos got the little drop space which also acts as a watch tower of sorts if you put a pylon or turret there.

I didn’t make any major changes aside from adding a mineral only and adding that little scouting platform and removing some proxy locations.. The mineral only is needed based off of player input during testing.

Update to (2)Anthropocene 0.60.

-Decoration in main made simple.
-Mineral wall at main ramps reduced from 32 to 24.
-Added walkable tile buffer to natural gas geysers. (Previously geysers were flush against coastal cliffs.)
-Removed Zerg creep spawns outside of natural/third entrance.
-Original middle expansion line (y=x) that previously would be an island when a line of Troy Gates were destroyed has been broken apart by two new pathways.
-Destroying central Troy Gates will limit fastest travel paths.
-New Zerg creep spawns on the now central plateau.
-Two minerals removed from center base. Minerals are still 2000, geysers are still 7500.
-Offensively destroying opponent's Troy Gates will allow an overall safe expansion, and force opponent to take a longer pathway if using a ground force, or ferrying units across.
-New pathways are composed of two Protoss Temples and a Zerg creep spawn.
-Additional overlord spot created to overlook new pathways.
-Extra ramp to corner bases have been removed.
-Destroying corner Troy Gates will create safe island expansions. This will also close the path between thirds on the same side of the map.
-Resource/Pathing debugging done.
