Yeah rush either should have gone for the bust initially or stayed home and played for a longer game. Soma did a great job delaying the move from rush to allow for lurkers to morph. Maybe LAN nerves affecting the decision making, rush kinda put himself in a no-win situation.

Again Soma looking like a god, glad I voted for him. He's way ahead this game....Rush isn't out of this yet though. 4 rax doing well against the 2.5 hatch opening. Soma will get the 3rd base when mutas are on the way I'd imagine.

One of the worst serie i can remember ... didnt even look T was trying to win this, just sitting in the middle of the map waiting for Z to be ready ... terrible play by Rush.

Maybe he thinks he is Flash. I remember Flash usually bring his M&M come out his base to fight against Muta/Lings.

pro terran too used to their macro slugfest sponbbangs that they forget how to be safe against mass backstab strats (which is fairly seen on ladder unironically)

at least soma showed up today, unlike asl12 where he just pooped the bed

I disagree. Rush had a clear and well thought out game plan. He was only seconds behind his timings twice. Give credit to Soma for excellent play. Soma made no mistakes. Soma had god level play as I've said before in this thread. Sure Rush made some gambles that didn't work. That doesn't mean it was terrible. He waited for 4 valks but he didnt know how fast Soma's excellent Lurker switch was. If Soma had made a few more mutas it would've been the best choice. The backstabs are hard to deal with in many games but a lot of the time it results in a zerg loss. Show me a series where a zerg wins like that twice in a row at the ASL level? Soma had his number today. That doesn't take from away Rush's game plan. It just didn't work out.

Wow. How disappointing... at least Soma didn't crumble like ASL12 and this helps bury that quote embarrassing performance. When he is playing well he is trouble for any Terran, Flash included.

Didn't expect Rush to drop 3 straight though. I hope JyJ can keep his excellent form and deliver for us Terran fans. We haven't had a Terran champion since Light in the KSL.

Terrans need Flash to come back ASAP. Too many new maps without Flash creating tutorials on how best to play then within the first 2-3 played games.

Looks like everything went according to plan! I didn't anticipate his lurker use so early, but Soma did a great job anticipating Rush.

This ASL is Soma's to lose. SK has inferior ZvZ and Rain definitely has his biggest weakness in PvZ. Action may do okay in a ZvZ finals versus Soma. Light has been on a downward trend in TvZ. It's really weird to say, but Jyj might have the best Zerg match up out of all the remaining players.
