The Players
Light (MBC Game, Terran)
Light - known for his stuttering performance. Sometimes genius play, sometimes - and unfortunately more often really bad play.
He has to face a Protoss on Python in his first game. Python with a slightly advantage for Terran (statistically) should be a good base to setup a good game.
Unfortunately I don't think the map can blow the disadvantage of Lights "bad" Terran vs Protoss. He currently is 1-0 on Python, but:

Free[gm] (Hanbit, Protoss)
Free - known for being a macro good and awesome goon control. Also known for being weak against mines.
He has to face Light today who is currently 2-0 vs him.
The map is Python and I think Free will beat Light here by macro. It would be an upset for me if Light manages to win this game.

Don't let the record vex you, his PvT is better than this record shows.
DarkElf (CJ, Terran)
DarkElf, in my opinion a very good player will solid results. He is not very long into progaming and gets better and better.
Today he has to face a Terran and I think he has good chances of winning.
His TvT record: 8-6 (57,14%)
All records based on 2007.
Even if this record doesn't look good, he just lost to monster Terrans. Plus he did beat very good players, including his opponent today (Sea[Shield]).
Sea[Shield] (MBC Game, Terran)
Sea[Shield] is one of the most solid Terrans there are, for me at least. He is showing a good performance over all match ups. All his winning ratios are > 60% which is amazing.
His TvT record: 20-12 (62.50%)
All records based on 2007.
We have to mention that he didn't so many face TvT Monsters. Still, his record is awesome. None the less I predict DarkElf to win.

There is no "low quality" for the daum player. Its 1600kbps, but you can reduce the playing speed to (0,8.. 0,6 etc). It will sound like the commentators talking through tin cans, but it will not buffer.

well, you can calculate how many you will be behind.
1 minute (60 seconds)
60 x 0,8 = 48.
You should be 12 seconds per minute behind. At least if this calculation is right. In fact, its better than not to watch I guess.

I believe so, yes.
OGN prolly changed something about how their stream works, and since cats is close to the head yaoyuan guy, I'd think they both use the same method to deliver their streams (hence they both went down at once)

damn i'm really curious what the problem for me with daum player is. i hear the sound of the stream but i only see a black screen. but as long as i'm moving the player window across the screen, i can see some pieces of the stuff that is actually played. weird T_T

Dunno, Protosses used to play with fast 2nd expo and fight off terran pushes so much. But this map doesn't suit good for that really. Because 2nd expo is sometimes at an open area or near someone main. or too far away. Maybe it'd be better to play oldschool natural into speedzeals strat..

sea is like 5-0 on python tvt, so i dunno what stats you were looking at -__-. Plus all he played was TvT during proleague, you'd think his tvt sense is really sharp right now.
As for light vs free, I just went off of what I saw from their play a few days ago (free's pvt in survivor / light's tvp in wcg) and felt that light was solid and free was rather shaky. But then again this one really could have gone either way.

Yes. I didn't see that moment exactly but commentators constantly mentioned that 2 tanks were hidden on the cliff and Sea didn't know that. So Sea thought Light had 2 tanks but actually it was 4.

elf's dropship heads to bottom left, intercepted by 2 wraiths, dropship dies, so does 1 wraith, to the 2 gollies inside

darkelf was moving a dropship to harass sea's sw base but it was shot down by wraiths. Now he's moving more units there and a dropship
sea moving 3 dropships elsewhere though, dropping darkelf's 6 sieged tank line while simulttaneously attacking with ground
sea gets horribly raped though

Somehow Sea does not deal well with pressure. He sweats like hell and starts making bad, or simply reckless decisions. Last time he kinda held his cool under pressure was against Reach.

light is great at times but his TvT has always been shaky, thats why its a surprise
light vs free was a tossup but nobody really expected him to beat sea or darkelf to advance

yeah i watched both his games against sea, he played like he usually does and got crushed in game 1, but in game 2 he really did play well
