He didn't do anything particularly horrible. When you get cheesed and don't find out soon enough - and in Best's case, he was also very unlucky that he scouted Mini last in both of those games - chances are you're more likely to lose.
What I'd say is Best was reckless in his play for not actively looking for proxy. Me and you and everyone already know that Mini likes to cheese, yet somehow Best just ignored that and he even skipped the safety zealot in game 1.
