Wish i could participated ![]() But not sure what is the point to let koreans play in foreigner tours? ![]() They are way to strong for foreigner scene.. yeah well.. I also don't really know what is the point of this.. but this topic has been done to death already some people just really like to watch this kind of stuff for some reason the biggest shame in this is that the korean scene is healthy as it is and it really does not need more tournaments and money pumped into it.. the foreign scene on the other hand.. yeah, we could use some of it for sure. Well.. thanks for hosting anyways. Cheers ![]()

If the TO prefers laggy games with korean players over foreign players, nothing you can do.

Looking through the bracket, these matchups look interesting. Did you cast these? Kwark v. Dewalt, trutacz v noob, and Grail v. Scan. Don't feel bad about the lag. It's your tourney. The players are on your turf. If you end up going big for HAY100 and get a stacked lineup full of Korean pros, then for that one tourney I like the idea one of you mentioned of having a Korean obs (but you still cast). Especially by the time it gets to the Ro8 or Ro4. And for those later rounds it's a bit later in the day in Korea so that'll help you find someone willing to help out. Congrats on pulling this off!

Things that can be improved imo : Schamtoo organized 50 tourneys or more but still wants to cast games on Turn rate 12. in some cases TR12 high. that is like playing in TR8. ample vs best is one of them. Latency sometimes changes from player to player some games were casted in TR24 high that is TR16 low. to fix all this issues there is no other way around that casting from replays. especially when there is the formule of Korea Peru USA.if the tourney was played by koreans only is actually very easy cuz u could a find a kor obs and cast from his perspective and players could play TR24 low. sad note: Not soma games wtf :/ GGs

I watched Kwark vs Dewalt on his stream. Kwark was with the mindset that there would be no way to win in a straight up game, so there were 2 cheeses in the first 2 games (the first of which worked). For some reason I cant really recall game 3 o.O Didnt watch the other 2 you mention on schamtoo stream but maybe I just missed them. Edit: to the above people complaining about better competition, that brings viewers. This was the first time I watched HAY because there were a ton of good players. As much as I respect foreigners and their efforts and as much as I watch their streams from time to time, its just not the same. IMHO, to foreign players, this was a great chance for both being in a casted tournament with more viewers than usual (just guessing), and also to play against some good korean players in a tournament setting.

I don't really have an agenda or any narrative other than, I'm a caster, I like casting good games. I think it's clear that this tournament setup has a lot of downsides to it. (not casting from replays, players from any region + casters in the same game etc.) Yes, I think I have a plan for this in the future that will hopefully remove the lag. it may be slightly worse for the viewers in terms of quality but I really do care for the players experience. You are entirely right that a lot of players really just wanted to see how they stacked up against ASL players. I got many messages about that. Biggest issues:
