I gotta say. I've always hated silver cuz he'd knock out good protoss players then lose to chobo terran users. And playing against HIM on the Zerg graveyard map Monty Hall.... who would have doubted the winner?

But holy shit, this strat was so genious, and so well played... I'm not that angry that boxer lost.

I was actually really bored by that game, nearly every single thing happened exactly how I expected it to... that is, all but the fact I thought boxer would at least do a little better than that at stopping it. =/

Actually, my feeling was just that I was watching what would be the last minute of the game in slow motion the entire game. Every moment that boxer didn't make a crazy move to stop the plan just made it worse.

It's obviously a ridiculously good strategy by silver, but I just seem to find everything that 'works' on this map horribly painful to watch for some reason.

what would you say is the best counter to that strategy? given the early scouting, he can easily adapt to time mutas to counter a fast drop strategy.

i think probably mining out one of the paths early and using the barracks trick to get an mm army into silver's main from one of the side paths, or maybe a proxy fact -> vulture float

Yeah, I was actually hoping boxer would use some sort of trickery to get down the top path into silver's main. The gas trick would be the best idea for it, and there was certainly a time in that game where it would have been gg.

Honestly, just imagine what the game would have been like had boxer decided to FE to the middle - the same spot silver did.
