Anyways I rewatched the match and Rush was never ahead. He ran into a bunch of lurkers not realising there was more to the north and ran his top marines for a surround straight into lurker splash. Rush lost his science vessel timing due to that and completely lost momentum that's supposed to occur. It isn't that having so many science vessels isn't worth it, but that he couldn't get the opportunity to use them to its fullest potential due to lack of map control. The large amounts of science vessels can obtain critical mass, but it's crucial to obtain map control so you can irradiate defilers/ultras/lurkers units early and have plenty of space to retreat to against dark swarms. It's really impressive rewatching how Zero completely outmanoeuvres Rush at every moment afterwards. Several times he managed to move a defiler + small amounts of units past Rush's units and into his bases. It's already too late when the dark swarms are in your base and that's what happened here.

Feels like protecting the cannons would have been best. So much anticipation to them finally going up, then he immediately abandons them and they are overrun with lings. Wasted. Then he could have scouted the map to check for a sneaky hatch and taken it out while holding the ramp.

Really enjoyable games, though! So amazing to have ASL to watch, truly a pleasure, even the groups people were calling boring / bad games have been wonderful.

Am I the only one who watched this and felt like everyone but Barracks just played terribly. Slugfests are nice, but this looked more like people punching themselves rather than their opponents.

Really fun games, really great to see how stoked barracks was to advance haha. Damn when rush sniped that defiler den I thought zero was toast, but then he REALLY made good use of his remaining defilers damn. So fucking hard to play vs T with only 3 gas. Too bad to see mini slumping pretty hard since getting 2 silvers last year, but his play just doesn't seem as good as it should be from him. Really hope he comes back better next season.

We never know which Mini is going to show up, especially on stage. After the first few minutes on his first match, it was easy to understand which one came to play, unfortunately.

All games were great, this is the best group by far. BarrackS played surprisingly well, so I wonder if he's that good (after 11 years of training) or he got lucky. Next round will tell.
Mini played horribly, he needs to work on his weak mentality, because he's performing so good or so bad.
Sad to see Rush is gone, guy trained super hard. I always think that Rush is slowly but surely becoming stronger and more solid each season. He really needed to take that TvT because facing ZerO twice isn't an easy feat. I wouldn't say he threw the game, his early and mid game was brilliant but his mutltitask started falling apart late game.
