BW is really hard remember? It's one thing to sit and watch the game, with full vision from both sides and without having to control an army, to build and produce that same army and manage an economy; all at the same time.
There are almost no such things as "perfect" games in BW. Yet we love it. Saying that someone is "throwing" a game, makes it seem like the game itself was cheap. It also takes away the accomplishments from the opponent who manageded to exploit the mistake.
I'm not sorry to see Mini go. He's just so inconsistent and his decision making is simply the worst. He's simply got to work on the many glaring issues in his play or he'll forever underwhelm.
Holy shit that last game was one of the best TvZs I have seen recently. Zero really pulled some magic to come back from that one and Rush played his mind out. Epic!!!
How exactly did Rush throw that game again? He was focused on stopping Zero getting a 4th and was light on units in his natural, Zero took a gamble to attack the natural and it paid off. Rush played really well that game and would have beat Zero on another day.
imho staying on marine + mass vessel is a mistake, irradiate is not efficient in terms of apm and marines are more situational given dark swarm... i'm thinking bc or firebat/mech are better compositions
It's not a mistake, its a choice. You cannot always safely mech transition. You wouldn't be making firebats with your mech anyways. Science vessels are the tool that can counter every threat to your MM. It could had gone either way really.

IDK if Rush could ever afford to try and switch into mech or add BCs after losing a sizable chunk of mnm in a blunder versus a bunch of lurks and mutas in the middle. He lost the game through inefficient control of the map, something his somewhat more mobile mnm/vessel force was designed to do. I feel those vessels did less work than they could have. He had a lot.
yes in theory vessels can do a lot of work but i think in practice the apm cost is not worth investing in so many
you need to both track the energy of the vessels (or "miss" trying to cast from one with insufficient energy), carefully click on the vessel to use, and then carefully click on the irradiate target, meanwhile zerg probably doesn't care as its pumping out units, a dark swarm on the other hand doesn't need such pin-point accuracy when using defilers
and while you're still on marines, you are basically breaking even on the apm of retreating from dark swarm while taking losses
when i looked at soulkey v mong on escalade and how he came back against an established high tank count with overlords, lings and ultras mostly it makes me think you need firebats, adrenal glands is too efficient

yeah it boggles my mind how terrans still refuse to add a bat or two early game, and start mixing firebats into the mix for mid game bionic army before the inevitable full mech switch..
