Are you a new brood war player? Do you want a chance to prove yourself as an up and coming force? Do you want to get games casted by names like LMaster, Sugo, TY2, and Tim? I am organizing an individual tournament for lower level players to be able to have at it against each other, and learn to prepare for a single opponent and matchup.
Who?
Any player with 1400 mmr and below (sorry anthem).
When?
This event would take place over the next month or month and a half depending on signups, with a round every week. Signups begin now, at https://forms.gle/TXRs241y9NEHMUXZ9.
The bracket will be announced Sunday April 7th, with the round of 16 being casted the following Sunday, and so on.
How?
The tournament will be a similar format to ASL. The ro16 (if we have that many participants) will be a group stage BO1, and following rounds will be a BO5 individual series.
Group Stage:
The first two games will be played on Medusa, with replays sent in by the winner no later than Wednesday 11:59PM GMT/7:59 EDT.
The winners and losers matches will be played on Crossing Field (from ASL4), with replays sent in by the winner no later than Friday 11:59PM GMT/7:59 EDT.
The final match will be played on Fighting Spirit, with replays sent in by the winner no later than Saturday 11:59PM GMT/7:59 EDT.
Games not finished in a timely manner will result in the players involved being disqualified and the other two advancing.
All games will be casted on the following Sunday.
Ro8 on:
The map pool is Crossing Field, Fighting Spirit, Colloseum 2, Heartbeat, and Medusa. The first game will be played on Fighting Spirit, with loser picking the next map. All replays must be sent in by no later than Saturday 11:59GMT/7:59 EDT of that week, with a failure to do so resulting in both player's disqualification.
All games will be casted on the following Sunday.
