Welcome to the play-offs of the sixth season of the fastest map possible league of www.starcraftworld.net (SCW). After a several weeks long 1on1 ladder, we are about to kick off the tournament that decides it all! Qualifying for the tournament was not easy as only the top 8 could do so!
So let us take a look who managed to do so!
The winner of the previous season in GanGstEr]JoSe. managed to claim the top 1 spot in this season again. Congratulations! Together with probably the very best fastest player there is in Xtre-BraiN, he could achieve the famous S rank in the ladder. This guarantees these both players the best seeding in the play-off bracket.
Sadly Pro]EviL- had to drop out, since he cannot play this weekend, hence FiRe.BungeeGum (place 10 in the ladder) will replace him.

But without further ado, let us take a look what is up for the grab:

If that isn't a motivation to give it all, then I do not know what is!

And now lets take a quick look onto the seeded bracket. Depending on the ladder ranking, the player received a better seed in the bracket and already could advance to Winner Bracket Round 3:
All matches are Best-of-Seven (beside of the grand finale, which is a Best-of-Nine) and are played Random versus Random on the newest SCW S6 Map

Even if you dislike Fastest, maybe you want to give it a try by the way. FlaSh and Jaedong like to play some Fastest from time to time as well. So stop being narrow-minded and just join the fun
I didnt like fastest then i caught doejuly on twitch, streams exclusively fastest map possible and has a record in the neighbourhood of 50000-10000...this tournament will be mint
Sadly we had to discover that the player "koN" have let someone else play in his series against "Buu". That's why Buu got the walkover in that series and koN was disqualified and replaced by EviL-. So the new matchups will be Resoud vs EviL- in lower bracket and Buu vs Jose in upper bracket.
Nevertheless, I will cast this Best-of-Seven set:

So we will have to say goodbye to one of these players today.
I watched some games today and it was fun. A lot of non stop action. The builds and play didn't seem to be as optimised and crisp as what we see from Korean pro's, so that made me wonder how they would make this map look. Has there ever been a fastest tournament with Korean pro's? Maybe they should add the map to the next ASL. Can't be less balanced than Sparkle now can it .
One of the players in this tournament "BraiN", is a korean ex-pro (Sea.kh, no not the terran Sea). He can be considered the best fastest player on the world right now. Even though FlaSh (and other korean pros too) is playing Fastest quite a lot these days.^^
Also koreans rather play their version of Fastest (SUPER map 빨무). So if any map of this kind, we would see this one.
And there was already a tournament some month ago, played on that map by korean pros. I think LoveTV hosted it, but not quite sure.
And trust me, if they even tried to add fastest to the mappool, the outcry would be huge and possibly so huge that they would change the mappool again to take out Fastest People really hate Fastest, for god knows what reason...
We are getting closer to finishing the tournament!
Today we will see the ladder rank number 1 and previous season winner JoSe. take on the korean master-mind BraiN and the first loser bracket R2 match in Buu vs Johnw1ck.
And also I have an announcement for both of these sets: I will have the famous fastest caster Pro]ChOsen- to cast with me (fastest scene equivalent to Sayle). So tune in for some expert analysis
