Games 2 and 3 were just Rain and Shuttle making bad mistakes respectively. Pretty much sums it up. But Shuttle's game plan for game 4 was pretty horrid - he invested in two supremely useless dark archons before the first drop into his main; then he used high templar for storm, whereas Rain had a bunch of archons; and somehow he had less sairs in the beginning of the game. And Rain made some great strategic moves in game 1. Transistor is such a tense map, I swear.

Hope Shuttle realizes he's too good to cow into submission. His lack of confidence spiraled into defeat. Rain didn't win this as much as Shuttle lost this. ![]()

It was dreadful stuff to watch.

I dont blame him, this was probably his best approach to the series, cause in a long macro game i see shuttle doing way better recently. Game 1 was a macro game, and game 4 too, albeit via shuttle drops. I don't think uncontested hidden bases qualify as being a "trickster", Shuttle has no excuse for poor map awareness and control.

There was two pretty alright games and two anticlimactic ones. Nothing too terrible. Why are people overreacting? Why on earth would people hate protoss players just because they dont like pvp?

They produced games that were not entertaining and, at least in game 2 and 3, their reactions and control were below their usual standards - and in game 4 Shuttle had a very disadvantageous unit composition. Hindsight is everything, of course, so I don't claim they are horrible, but the series weren't good and this is fact, although subjective. I don't think anyone here is bashing either player or saying they suck.

What happened to "if you don't have anything nice to say, better not say anything at all"? We all have different preferences. If you feel like coming with some constructive criticism - feel free, but right now you are just saying stuff that are only designed to make a certain person feel bad. Please keep it to yourself next time sir. I think he is doing a great job, always bringing a lot of energy to the cast and makes it fun to watch! ![]()

Just look at all the people calling out Shuttle for not getting obs before reavers in game 3. They didn't say a thing when he did the exact same thing in game 2. It just so happened that Rain went DT in game 3 and Shuttle paid for his attempt, so all these armchair warriors with the benefit of hindsight can look at the result and call Shuttle's build order dumb on the game he lost but not say anything about his build order on the game he won. Obviously Shuttle's decision to omit observers was an intentional gamble in an effort to try to get an army advantage on the 2 maps that have unforgiving ramps if you can push your opponent back into their base.

I like how you act as if you could judge it any better? From a pro gamer's perspective, your play is only a bit less flawed than the plays of your average 1500 mmr player. None of us is in the position to judge shuttles play because we are better, or even close enough to tell. But the point of a thread like this is to discuss the games, i guess.
