I think it was the 2/2 gol upgrade the one that made it possible... Savior's fault for not building another spire, I am sure he had the money.
It's rare for gols to win when lots of mutas are stacked BTW, so I guess the map played a role too coz it gave Boxer enough space to micro.

I don't mean this in order to take anything away from boxer, for he deserved his win.
With that being said, does anyone else get the impression that savior mind games and arrogance that once helped him rise to the top is now hindering his game? The entire game vs Boxer I just kept wondering when he was going to hive tech, but it never came. To me it was almost like savior was thinking, I just raped this guy 2-0, and 3-0 before that... I have nothing to worry about.

As said, hivetech .. why didn't he build it? Not saying it would have won him the match EZ but it would have helped *alot* .. at least better then wasting millions of mutalisks where one swarm and some lings or, even better, some PLAAGUUUU would have killed all the goliaths.

mutas soak up a lot of dmg from gols due to armor type and are really mobile (boxer forced to crank out massive turrets). i thought there were a couple battles when savior went only muta v. gol, and coulda brought in some lings.
i think plague would have worked well, but savior had to spend all his gas on muta in order to keep up w/ boxers production and not get timing rushed, no?

I would MUCH rather get irradiate than valks.
And also, I think Savior wanted to overpower Boxer with pure muta, that's why he didn't get Hive. Otherwise, Hydra + Defilers would've won him the game.

I don't think hydra+swarm is a better choice than muta vs gols. Generally mass mutas >> mass gols due to gol's explosive air attack (damage is halfed) and 2-missle shot (= muta's amour is doubled).
And mass gols owns mass hydra (and basically as long as Terran has enough gas, gols is good against any Zerg ground unit)
The key to Boxer's win in my opinion is his early harrassment, and godly goliath micro. Notice his goliaths movement when the big battles happened.
