I like Cadenza in general, but when it comes to her casting, it's not good. If you really scrutinize it, she's not really adding anything to the cast. Sayle just has way more experience, more knowledge, and a louder voice for the actual play-by-play casting. I was asking myself this while watching: what is she contributing that is substantial? But, if she was literally the only other possible caster to accompany Sayle, well then, que sera sera.
Side note: Not to make it a hot take, but has anyone else noticed how when casting (in general) is talked about, when there is a poor caster, a common upside to the argument is always that the caster is better geared to talk to low level players? Like why is this seen as a good thing lol

Good players are able to follow the action anyway and depend less on the cast. I actually agree that it's better to gear the cast towards low level players. But I don't follow that being less good at the game makes you better at explaining it to a low level player, it just makes you focus on the less significant aspects. :p

I guess it's the accent more than anything. After a couple of minutes I don't notice it as much anymore.

ESL organised it on ESL money.

This is the worst idea ever. You will not beat someone who is good at the game with an all in. It'll never work if they're playing standard.

I didn't see the games, but I heard Draco won with 2 all ins. Actually, all ins are typically done by the lesser skilled player.

Yeah, that's why I said it would have been cool if Dewalt and Bonyth qualified, I think PvT has far better odds for successful all ins.

I disagree with Cadenza having less knowledge about the game. It is obvious that she is not as used to the casting role as Sayle is, but from the VODS I've caught up on so far (Morrow vs Koget and Cloud vs Koget) I think her assement of the situation in the game and her analysis is a lot more on point than Sayles at times. I don't mean to hate on Sayle, I think he does a fine job as a caster too.
Also I find her voice extremly soothing to listen to while Sayle just has the scream and make loud noices approach. To each their own though.
And to be fair, in my opinion the role of a more experienced caster is to adjust to the situation at hand. Sayle does not adjust his style to his co-caster, which is necessary in situations like this. A lot of the time in the vod vs Morrow and Koget he was just talking over Cadenza.

This is a LAN setting, no lag. If there's a perfect time for a foreigner to train and win it would be now.
Also I hope people are not this negative about my casting with Sayle, it's not very nice to Cadenza who is a) sick and b) doing imo a damn good job from the vods I saw yesterday.
