The purpose of THIS thread is to keep discussion here focused PURELY on smack talk, matches, helping players find play times before the Sunday cutoff, etc. This is also where I will post weekly lineups and results.

PAYOUT - Payouts will be done via PayPal. If you do not have one, it's easy to sign up, all you need is a debit card or a savings account for me to transfer funds to.
Teams have until the end of the countdown to play their opponents. If no time can be agreed upon, players will be forced to play on Sunday 10am PDT in channel: op PATL ON USWEST. (I'm doing away with home/visitor teams because SC:R is p2p and the servers do not matter)
Players have a whole week to play, the games don't all have to be done at the same time. Play at least 4 sets and if matches are tied 2-2 then we figure out the ACE match. MAKE SURE YOU SHARE RESULTS WITH ME. WINNERS SEND ME THE REPLAYS.
If a player does not show, his team may "sub" a player for him. If no player or sub present themselves after 15min (9:15am PDT) then the match point is awarded to the player/team that IS present. Please take a screenshot after typing /time or show your PC clock. This will be your proof.

Where: All matches will be attempted to be played on Battle.Net, USWest. Teams/Players can play on either server if agreed upon. Channel: op PATL on USWest is the default on Sundays. Default Turn Rate of 8, unless both players agree to a higher level. If players do not wish to have observers, then observers MUST leave.
I encourage everyone to READ EVERYTHING below but I've broken things up between responsibilities of Team Leaders and Players.
I also want to emphasize ONE last thing about Rosters. You are able to FREELY draft new talent to your team or remove players that have stopped playing. The one thing I have tighter restrictions on and will review on a case by case basis is Team Switching. I will not tolerate one team stacking another team and then switching back to their original team. You're on the team that you're on, STAY THERE. If you TRULY need to switch, talk to me.
NO SMURFING - This does NOT give you the right to attempt to pull one over on me. I've already had ONE player try to do this and the Season hasn't even started yet and I caught him. He got a warning. If anyone attempts to do this you will be BANNED for the rest of the Season. This is my ONLY warning on the matter. I have methods to track this, do not test me.

How do Teams submit lineups/How do we play?
The map pool of PATL Season 1 for Weeks 1 through 12 have been announced above.
If a team fails to submit 2 lineups in a row. They will automatically be removed from this Season of the PATL. Any team can be removed by Admin discretion as well due to lack of communication or failings to be diligent in encouraging your team to play/communicate.
If I find you you keep setting up early times to play and your team or certain players keep FAILING to attend to those predetermined times, I may have to make drastic decisions such as benching that player for a week or something similar for wasting peoples time. I don't like my time being wasted, I'm sure most people don't. BE ADULTS GUYS. But if you FAIL to show up at a pre-determined time, the hard deadline of Sunday 10am PDT is still set in stone as the default. As I've said, if you keep jerking people around. You'll answer to me. Don't walk that path.
Every game won is a point for your team. At the end of the season points will be totaled. The top FOUR highest scoring teams will be seeded into the Semi-Finals.
Due to the LARGE number of teams, it is not likely your team will play against EVERY team in the League before the season ends. Teams will be seeded randomly against each other each week during the season but never replaying the same team. Good luck to everyone and may the best teams win!
ALSO GUYS LET ME STRESS. PLEASE DONT SPOIL RESULTS OR SHARE REPLAYS until a week AFTER the match. Casters get the FIRST crack at the replays to cast and I want them to NOT get spoiled please.
I'll post results of the games by Wednesday of each week. This gives Casters time to cast their games as long as possible without being spoiled.

You know I want to take this moment to thank someone that is not part of our community anymore but is the person that taught me HOW to run tournaments, even if it does not make you popular at times. I watched him run many, many tournaments over the years and if I hadn't, I don't think I would have the heart to attempt this.

This guy. This guy has done SO much for the American scene between 2002 and 2014 and it's really sad that there isn't a Liquipedia page on him. He has run SO many tournaments big (NASL) and small (Yankee League).
He used to run weekly, monthly, yearly tournaments ALL the time and I have no idea how he did it. He was considered by MANY players the best Admin to run any tournament, he was often consulted by WCG on how to run the USA tournaments.
He also took a chance on me to cast Yankee League when it first started, arguably him giving me that opportunity lead me to being noticed more and more around the community as a caster. I worked hard to promote myself but I will admit. If Xeris never took the chance on me, I do not think I would have ever gained the popularity that I did that allowed me to participate in the casting crew for THREE WCGs in a row.
Xeris. I deticate this League to you. Wherever you are.

Hey I noticed a couple discrepancies that I'd like some clarification on if you don't mind. Listed above under the tab for week 1 maps you have "Blue Storm" listed as the ACE match, but under the week 1 match-ups you have Fighting Spirit listed for everyone as the ACE match.. which one is it?
Also in a similar fashion, in the OP on this thread you have the game time listed as 10am PST, but in the OP of the other thread you have it listed as 10pm PST. I assume it's 10am.. but I'd hate to show up 12 hours early and think our team gets a walkover win, or conversely show up 12 hours too late and miss our games. So which one is it?
Might not be a bad idea to fix it in the proper places as well in case someone misses it or reads the wrong one.
I wanted to take the time to announce, and I'll add this to the OP, that I'm in the process of securing additional funding to do an Individual Tournament. With a twist.
The top 16 players of PATL will be automatically invited into, what I'm going to call the Pan-American StarLeague. So the top 16 players that score the MOST points for their teams will be invited. (Obviously that means the players that win the most)
There will be another invite before PASL that would be an OPEN tournament for anyone to join and the top 16 finishers of that event would be seeded into the PASL for a total of 32 players.

The following teams have yet to communicate with me over the past 3 days or submit a lineup LORD, ASES, X17, ScD and SOUL.
If no communication is given to me by Sunday at the latest, all these teams will be removed from the League. If there are ANY other teams interested in taking someone's place. You need to be proactive and PM me and give me your week 1 and week 2 lineups by Thursday. I can't tell you which team you're be replacing/facing until the time comes. That's the breaks of being a replacement team.
What I will also do is have teams that have lineups ready but are against a team that hasn't submitted anything, I'll have them face each other instead. That way people can still play this week.
Keep practicing everyone, I was expecting this kind of hurtle and I'll keep doing my best to make it a smooth experience for everyone. Once we weed out the lazy, the league will run much smoother.

LORD has been penalized for not submitting a lineup by not being allowed to play this week. Cr has been DQ'd from the League for smurfing and will no longer be allowed to play AT ALL.
The teams slated to play against Cr and LORD are now slated to face each other instead.
This looked like a great idea but it's a bit unorganized, the liquipedia for this tour is not updated, there isn't a regular streamer on a regular day, just games being uploaded by multiple guys on their youtube accounts on random days, so it ends up being uninteresting for the viewers
And the liquidpedia gets updated once a week a few days AFTER the games are played so correct results are given. We're only 2 weeks into this League so please don't criticize lack of updates when there is nothing to update.
The whole idea behind this is to give the players as much leniency as possible to play. There was a poll made and the PLAYERS decided they wanted a whole week to play their games WITH a hard deadline of Sunday. That makes it IMPOSSIBLE to do live streams because I don't know who has played their games and who hasn't until results are reported to me.
But don't worry. When we get to the semi-finals and finals there will be live streams.
If the games are not interesting to you then I don't know how to help address that.
He's saying the tournament is hard to follow, not that the games themselves are uninteresting. By uninteresting he just means it doesn't generate enough interest or views or whatever.
His suggestion seems to be to have a set casting day - something like this: The deadline is on Sunday to play the games, they should be casted at a set time on the following Wednesday and uploaded to a single youtube or twitch channel.
I asked the casters what would be easiest for them and they all opted for their own content channels. I'll see what should be done for Season 2 but at this point I feel I shouldn't pull the rug out from under the current system.
The semi-finals and finals will have a set casting channel/set of casters for those events.

I don't think personal content channels are a problem, but it would help a lot if there was a set casting schedule that could be added to the TL calendar. Casters could list their streams under it, which should increase viewer count and visibility.
It's something I'm going to try and work the kinks out by Season 2. I honestly didn't expect Season 1 to have so many players/teams sign up so I tried to keep everything as loose and free as possible which would have worked great for a smaller number of players/teams.
For Season 2 I already have a plan mapped out on how I want to do it, I'm going to do a trial of it's system in the first PASL and see how it goes.
I've got ideas and ways to implement them, I don't feel like rocking the boat right now since I've already strongly established how I wanted things done based on prior player/community feedback. I'll adjust and present my new methods in the off season to the community for further feedback.

One player may ONLY play up to possible THREE games per week. So that means 2 - 1v1's or 1 - 1v1 and 1 - 2v2 and then the ACE match if the match series gets to the ACE.
So far I've been solo running the whole thing and I'm having some life things creeping in the way of admining on Sundays. As things stand I need to move the time to play UP to 9am PDT from 10am PDT.
Unless someone, WHO IS NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE LEAGUE (Maybe Mekhami wants to help?) steps up to help me out, I need ya'll to play your games EARLIER unless I can get 1 or 2 people that want to help referee on Sundays. Help players play their games, answer questions about rules, etc

CSG remains solidly in 1st place for the 4th week in a row. Having won every match and every set.
SouL climbs into 2nd with SCC-A and SK-A following behind as 3rd and 4th respectively.
Ty2 overcomes TerrOr to take the #1 spot on the leaderboard in the player rankings becoming the sole Zerg in the top 5, the other 4 spots being dominated by Terrans.
In a shocking upset, CSG loses to SK-A 0-3, plummeting them down the rankings.
This allows SouL to climb into the #1 spot with their win over SK-B. SCC-A and SK-A each jump a rank in the standings following CSG's fall.
wce is considered the dark horse so far in PATL, having faught tooth and nail from the bottom of the rankings to now securing Rank 4. Will they keep it in the following weeks?
CSG must now contend with dM-Fire and wce crowding the space for 4th place in the standings.
Ty2 continues to hold onto his 6 game win streak with an iron fist. Can nobody take the Zerg Tyrant down? He's followed closely behind by his Terran adversaries - Terror, Ultra, Vulture and KawaiiRice.
VexX, CSG and SCC-B failed to submit lineups. CSG and SCC-B are on their FINAL warning for non-submission of lineups.
As for VexX. This is their 3rd missed lineup overall in the League and I'm tired of the non-professional approach to the League. I've decided to permanently remove them from the League.
Here is your mid-week update - The Team Standings have been updated.
Soul retains it's concrete lead - beating SK-A 3-0, having a solid SIX more points than the 2nd rank team in the league which is Team wce. Clawing their way from the bottom of the ranks the first few weeks into a convincing second place.
SK-A drops a rank to 3rd.
SCC-A is currently teetering on the edge of losing their spot in the top 4 with eMg and dM-Fire thirsting for blood to gain entry into the Semi-Finals.
We only have TWO more weeks before the SEASON IS OVER. (Slated to end after Week 11 matches NOVEMBER 12th!)
Once results are tallied on the 12th, I will immediately release the results of which teams qualify for the Semi-Finals and begin coordinating times among all those invovled.
As you're all aware. After week 11 the top four teams enter into the semi-finals. I just wanted to clarify one rule before we get into the semi-finals that may have escaped some of you.
As I mentioned weeks ago, if you have a person on your team, even if they never played, and your team wins a cash prize. That person IS ENTITLED to a portion of that prize won. The example I used was like in American Football. Even the 3rd string kicker gets a super bowl ring if his team wins the super bowl even if he NEVER played a game.
So THAT being said. If Team Captains wish to conduct a "purge" of their rosters, as in, REMOVE PLAYERS PERMANTELY FROM THEIR TEAM BEFORE Nov 11th. (That means you have until 11:59pm PST Nov 10th to do your "purge") then I'll allow it.
BE WARNED FINAL FOUR. There will be NO PLAYER ADDITIONS AFTER NOV 10th. If you accidentally purge someone and want to add them back. NEGATIVE. I will NOT allow it. So FINALIZE who you want on your team in the weeks leading up to this. Teams are free to STEAL players from other teams in order to better their chances. That has always been an option.
I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR DISTRIBUTING THE CASH PRIZES DIRECTLY TO EACH PLAYER VIA PAYPAL. I will NOT be giving the entire lump to a team leader. If that person acts like an asshole and doesn't share I don't want to be caught in the middle of it UNLESS I get that player's WRITTEN agreement for me to do so via PM.

ACE match, AS ALWAYS, is chosen at time of play and anyone is qualified to play ACE.
So yes that means you could have EXAMPLE: Flash plays in 1 - 1v1 and 1 - 2v2 or 2 - 1v1 and then if the series goes to ACE, he can STILL play in the ACE.
Again, NO SUBBING ALLOWED unless a player has a REAL LIFE emergency and I'm talking like a family member dying or some such, and it will be something I will want real, CONCRETE proof.
As always teams have between now and Sunday to play.
I'll relax the early morning timeframe for the semi-finals and revert to 10am PDT as the deadline to play. Opposed to the 9am PDT we've been doing the past 4 weeks.
I had a great time hosting this event and thank you to all the various sponsors that helped make this a fun, exciting event. I'm glad to see that there are MORE BW tournaments going than when we first started, helping keep this amazing game and community alive.
