Gonna be some cool games tonight. That first group is pretty deadly. Let's hope for some good ones.
i wanna see sea vs lux most. hoping lux will show some awesome zvt like yarnc. I also like watching Sea play. He is one of my favorite players for some reason.
jaedong moves the lurker ling at his min only to kill the rinf forces of shis, then those forces come back and sandwich sheis' setup that was moving into the nat of jaedong. completely destroys sheis' attack.
jaedong still has his pool and den alive, the mnm drop in main is wtf chillin in the corner after 1/2 killed, now comes back and starts firing at the queen's nest.
sheis has the 5 doublegas, jaedong miving into the minonly of sheis with lurker ling defiler, jaedong with scourge trying to kill the vessles. 4 vessles for sheis.
On April 06 2007 22:34 Live2Win wrote: wow JD had some really nice moves there, but Shies did some incredible drops
they weren't even that incredible, tbh. His control during the drops was questionable, and the marines seemed to be attack moved with no clear target.
Jaedong just failed at blocking/killing the drops. Usually his scourge/ling micro is impeccable and annihilates almost all drops. Today he was about 50/50.
Yeah, kind of sad to see Jaedong lose, after he displayed one of the best multitasking I've ever seen, he managed to flank, protect, and set lurkers in perfect places to be able to kill a lot units and make sheis confused.
Jaedong's two hero lurkers bought him time to be at a decent position going in to late game. But he just didn't play good enough from there on. He was just one step behind all the time, didn't scourge well etc. It seemed like the better player won. Jaedong really need to play better if he is the next big thing.

yeah, it's pretty different. but it shows how all 4 players are placed relative to each other after its done. anyway go Sea... if it was TvT or TvP i'd be more confident though sigh... luxury will probably take this

the first 6 lurkers are out for luxury, he just moves them to the middle of the mpa, and loses 4 of them to the mmf that was sitting on the plateau. wtf.
luxury with a handful of lings, lurkers still morphing, defiler mound dies...? now theyre in red red red red REDDDDD hp, but lurkers burrow, lings come, and both the tech buildings live wtf ??
2 vessles just died, but sea repels the progression of jaedong's forces. 2 port vessle for sea now? has about 8 tanks, mmf and 1 vessle, almost lost the vessle to scourge there, tanks siege at the mineral in mid.
sea moving into the middle with infantry, tank suppor from behidn, jaedong with lutra ling swarm repeal the infantry, 1 vessle dies. mmm, first person view of jaedong, i cant even tell wtf he's doing .
Jaedong how... how did you lose both games?! GGplay better make it in the evening! or the only Zerg I'll be cheering for this entire season will be July.
This is the worst group ever :-( Jaedong losing to Sea then if Sea will lose to Luxury who is probably the player I couldn't care less about from the entire group... he'll just get pwned in the MSL along with Child, or maybe they can cancel each other.
sea floating off his buildings, Luxury still at hari, luxury expanding to the 11 island, sea's main is dying, sea deciding to defend his nat instead of saving the main.
Both mainbases are destroyed, 1 expo for luxury, natural for sea, sea's natural harassed by 2 lurkers but he deals easy with them. expo of luxury under fire.. this is over
I thought Luxury handled the Vessels very well actually, he always (except for that last time where he lost 6) managed to seperate the irradiated one veryt quickly. I think he just tried to contain Sea for too long, without trying to take him down. He should have dropped more, that first 2 lurker drop was so good.
On April 07 2007 00:48 G.s)NarutO wrote: He had like 3 groups, but mutalisks are meaningless when terran got vessels... Sea got 4-5 Vessel... they deal easy with mutalisks o.o
Luxury actually had commendable micro with that. I can't count how many times the commentators would shout at an irradiate when Luxury had already picked it out almost instantly 90 percent of the time. But it takes its toll anyway I guess.

exactly, he reduced irradiate damage to basically almost nothing.
Yeah he handled the vessels pretty well, but you have to see that the offensive factor of mutalisks are not that good if you always have to look for irradiate. Irradiate does alot of damage and does that fast. If he just waits 2 or 3 seconds many mutalisks are damaged while the marines are fireing nonstop o.o
Luxury had 3 gases but had a very low mineral income. He never had the chance to build a big economy because Sea actually had a scary army. Luxury couldn't take it on directly after he did that failed attack that wasted 4 lurkers and a bunch of mutas.
Edit: making lings or hydras would have made no sense since mutas work better as support units if you have the gas to waste. Well, at least in low economy games. Maybe he should have tied to made a switch but remember how few hatcheries he had.
starport inside main for gogo. haha this is some fun stuff~~
lair starts for silver. 2nd vult out. drones blcoking the choke, but vult still gest in, vults being microed, kills 2 drones, 2 vults, inside silver's main.
vults still alive, killing drone drone drones, 1 almost dies to lings, but 2 still alive, killing drones and lings, wraith is here, vults killings lings still.
2nd cannon done, attacking the 2nd hatch. ggplay getting 3rd hatch toward the north of his main, pylon nex tto 2 cannons, and more cannons, horizontal cannon line, extending towards the min line

Lets say you are playing TvP and you are terran and you have an SCV in protosses main. Suppose right before your SCV dies, you tell another SCV to mine P's minerals. It obvoiusly will go across the map, pass through whatever dragoon is blocking the ramp and check things out
However, suppose you WERENT scouting in protosses main and protoss blocked the ramp w/ 2 probes or a goon (as TT did in this game). There is a glitch where you can right shift+click a worker 20+ on a geyser, then right click anywhere on the map, and the SCV will pass through all units. Thus, it is possible to move past any block TT had at his ramp.
Some tournaments ban this, as it would be unfair for alot of "hidden" type strategies where you block your ramp w/ 1 dragoon and then DT/robo tech. Theoretically, the terran could simply shift+click right past that 1 dragoon and find out exactly what is up
sorry for the long winded post; i hope it clarifies all questions tho : ]
if you are on the main ramp to a start position on blitz x, do you have vision of the minerals? IE, is it possible that go.go got his SCV partway up the ramp, and then right clicked on the bottom mineral patch to fly through ?
On April 07 2007 03:28 G.s)NarutO wrote: "He slided through my probes.. *CRYCRY* " ... -.-v
it's a serious problem, if it was allowed i would probably do this every game because it makes it much harder to hide shit from terran (they don't even need vision of your main minerals to slide through... and now way you're going to stop it if you're fast teching robo or dt, you need like 3 goons and even then it gets some vision)
opponents sometimes complain though so i just do normal scouting... maybe if it was officially allowed in progames i'd do it anyhow though >:D (that's for your fucking hold lurkers)

Thanks for explanation. Hmm.. many times i wondered how scv managed to get through my goons when they didn't see my minerals.. Now I see.

no he definitely passed it by using the return cargo, it's not like peaks

like "stacking" a single scv using a gas geyser... i think that's more commonly banned though (because it uses the stack glitch), which is weird if this is allowed because it has pretty close to the same purpose
If protoss places probes goons really on TOP of the ramp, the closest position to minerals you can perhaps see something with luck. If he places his units at the bottom of the ramp you definately can't see you get me?^^

ah i see what you meant now. i thought that's what you meant, but it can't hurt to ask while no games are going eh? hehehe
can anyone please translate the guy from kespa? i think he said something important, and something weird happened when the game restarted i dont remember academy from gogo nor bay from TT prepause?
ALOT went on there, lets do a quick recap of the action:
Ever goes for a cheesy proxy 1 gate opening (surprise). go.go does a nice counter to this by sending some SCV to kill the gateway. Ever gets a few zealots out and some unit trading goes on. go.go throws down a proxy factory and Ever starts teching to reaver in his main. go.go also starts going MnM from his main!!
This is where everything goes to hell:
go.go does some sort of glitch to get an SCV past a probe block at ever's ramp. Ever demands a pause and tries to get some sort of regame/ruling done on the SCV glitch move. After about 10 minutes, the game resumes, and i'm surprised to see that Ever actually should probably win the game.
Ever has 4 dragoons + 1 zealot + speed shuttle w/ 2 reavers. go.go is making tanks from his proxy factory and has a handful of MnM. Somehow, go.go runs his MnM AROUND ever's army and into ever's main. go.go also joins his MnM group w/ 3 tanks from his proxy factory.
Ever is basically in good shape, he simply returns home w/ his speed shuttle reaver and holds it off. SOMEHOW, ever gets his shuttle positioned over his buildings. Consequently, go.go is free to shoot at the low HP shuttle and ever CANT UNLOAD HIS REAVERS!! Ever then LOSES THIS SHUTTLE, leaving his main completely undefended to the remaining 5 marines and 3 tanks
THE BEST PART:
Ever typed GG and LITERALLY threw his headphones off and stormed out of the MSL stadium. Literally, he GG'd a millisecond before his shuttle died and when the camera showed the players, ever was already gone!
silver goes in with his rinf lings arrive, wins with 3 ahead, collides with 2 lings at the ramp, lings die, 1 ahead for ggplay, sivler tries to go up the ramp with 2 lings now, ggplay blocks with 6 lings, 1 drone minign from the nat
spire done for silver, evo dones for ggplay, , lings clahs at th enat, 5 lings of silver run into the main, ggplayy's lings chase, spore is ready at both bases

This is for MSL, in OSL arnc and Jaedong lost are out but you already got July who passed to the next stage, Chojja, Shark and GoRush havent played yet either, and many others.
sunk dies, 5 lings vs 2 probe3 zeal, drone comes and puts down the sunk,m more lings htaching, 5 zeal 2 probes now, lings having ar hard tim twargetting the zeals, now surround them, more lings come, sunk goes up with no hp, sunk dies, 2 lings vs 2 lings 2 probe
ggplay now seds lings ousdie his nat areak, comes back in, killes a probes, and another, ever sends 2 more probes over though, 4 zeal 1 probe vs 5 lings, for teh 3rd time, sunk dies righ tafter it finishes

Wow I really hoped for GGPlay. I think he didn't keep track of the zealots that were low on health. No good to let the toss micro them away and keep them alive.
Almost all my favorite progamers are Terran, but I'd take GGplay/Jaedong over Sheis/TT/go.go IMO they deliver higher game quality, more fun for us to see. Just my oppinion though. I don't like today's results at all, except for Sea that rocked it big time.
That is the shittiest liquibet day I've had so far. I mean Jaedong lost everything despite being a monster ZvT player, Sea losing to who? Luxury[GSP] that lost 4 lurkers to AI-controlled rines?

There's a zerg who is called "uncheesable". His name is.. something like "savior".
There's also a zerg who lost to bunker several times not even a month ago. His name is... something like "savior".
He also is unable to think of a solution to Bisu's PvZ build and is 0-4 against it.
Canned builds work against sAviOr just as much as any progamer. In fact, because his macro play is so strong, that's probably the best way to beat him - early aggression of some sort.

oh and about 9/10 being "standard", it's standard in the way 5-pool is standard. Used, but rarely.

Up until that point however, savior had been bunker rushed quite a few times and reacted perfectly. Don't underestimate him. I would still call him the hardest zerg to cheese playing today.
That said, I agree an early blow will be neccessary to throw him off his stride. It's the anti-oov, anti-nada, anti-macro response.

Man,, so many good zerg players out already TT. Savior is the last hope of the zerg in the MSL this year. Lets hope that some of the new maps are a little less T>Z imba.
Jaedong should have made it... his games are so fun to watch! the kid's got quality in his blood, I can't believe he's out of OSL and MSL :-(
And guys, don't forget July is already qualified for MSL from Survivor League, as well as JJu and OverSky, plus sAviOr as seed, thats some quality Zerg right there :-)
