[edit, my fault i thought he knew no longinus II, in fact he didn't know =P] 1. if he waited, theres no disrespect and savior doesn't get the extra motivation 2. he would have seen the fast guardian strategy. midas does the same exact shit every game and he benefits most from knowing all possible builds that savior can throw at him, if he sees the fast guard build when savior plays another terran he probably would have won the game on hitchhiker no? | ||

edit: i guess you can give a nod to midas because i suppose his BEST chance was to do bo3 with a week to practice in between, but i still maintain that the motivation that savior got from being straight up disrespected wasn't worth it =P | ||

He's lacking confidence when it counts and he knows it (or he's lacking something else, no matter what it is). To get that back, he wanted to beat the number 1 player in the world during a bo3. He knew the guardians were coming anyway. Why would he make wraiths otherwise? They're not great to counter mutas or any kind of different hive tech. and what about midas knowing that zvz could be lucky and hwasin and casy also exist in this osl? they can very well knock out savior for him... that'd be the smart thing to do. not the hardest thing but the smart thing. i agree with you that midas did a manly brave thing, but its a dumb move on his part because it puts even more pressure on him. i disagree that the finals or semis would be less pressure, because midas CHOSE to play him in the ro16 and its like so much weight on him to win in that... its like he created that pressure for himself. | ||

Look at Nada last osl, he had the easy path and he won. Would he have faced someone like Iris or Midas, i don't think he would have made it. Picking one of your worst possible opponent might be a sign of confidence, but in the end i'm not sure it pays off. | ||
