Interesting that if free wins today, his possible opponent (Bisu, Killer and probably hero) in the Ro8 will be harder than those had he came in 2nd in his group...
I feel bad because Piano clearly prepared a build to exploit that little drop spot in advance but his micro was so horrible that by the time he got there it didn't matter
Dont know why but KSL games seem to suck compared to SSL, maybe its the maps or the players practicing more for SSL, because it has the potential to become OSL hapening on regular basis like before.
OR MAYBE.... maybe its all BISU and his conspiracy?!?

The first 8 or so KSL games were much, much better than the SSL games that happened during the same time period. There's just a lack of consistency because players don't spend 60 hours a week in team houses preparing methodically for Proleague.

I have to agree. The first eight games kicked ass. Today was pretty fun though. Honestly, the bad games show blaring skill gaps between the players who won and lost. Also the ZvZ heavy day was rough. The new maps also play a huge role. I have no doubt the ro8 will significantly improve.

proxy vs mind fails? eh slap down another factory and starport, don't expand
scout proxy robo? meh, go for speed vultures with a second factory rather than expo with wraith/positioning. Doesn't work? try harder! Don't expand.
though to be fair, in a proxy robo situation, speed vulture mines can be quite a counter. if you don't lose your first tank and marines. he would have died to the robo if free hadn't cancelled it)

PianO may have gotten too used to playing weaker ladder players who are surprised at his proxy/drop cheese... These progamers are just too strong for that. Exactly as you note, I wish he hadn't doubled down in those situations

Looks like Larva came in with a solid game plan and macro'd the heck out of it... those speedlings deterred so many of Movie's expansions while sniping high templars. Then the mid-game scourge to take out observers while Larva continued to stall and expand.
