Oh wow, when I was picking the players I thought I pulled out Mong-JangBi-sSak-Larva out of nowhere but surprised at how many others are also cheering for such a combination.
OGN Casters saying how Sunday broadcast of SSL10 was top 3 most viewed in viewer ratings at that time in Korea!!! They said it blew their own expectations.

I remember how Kim Carry would always say during the KeSPA era that Jangbi had the greatest physical capabilities of any Protoss and that this was fitting because Jangbi of the Three Kingdoms was also known for his great physical capabilities as a warrior. Damn, that deciding battle brought back memories.
Is it just me, or do the Terran players never seem happy/excited when they win? Their reaction always seems to be, "Yeah, game's over. I guess that was supposed to happen." -_-

Snipealot restream was bit iffy today, there was so much stock footage being played non-stop awhile ago. Fortunately Afreeca stream did not lag when I switched over though I somewhat miss the chat.

go to twitch stream, pop out chat and then watch the sonic stream like I did.

Nah, when I last tried using Afreeca, it buffered so much that I couldn't justify putting another strain on my somewhat shitty wi-fi.

no I mean just pop out the chat from the wtich stream, you don't need to be watching the stream to be on chat.
the software that runs the snipe streams switches to filler videos during buffering/afreeca disconnects.
SSL never had highlights immediately after games from what i can remember, there's a pretty clear difference between OGN production and the old SSL stuff.
This entire SSL10 ro16 Day3 gave me goosebumps from start to finish with the crowd/audience/fans, progamers and their matches, the commentators, the excitement, that blind guy ex-gamer who once vs BoxeR appearing once more (he did also on ro32), and the unbelievable OGN production staff, especially OP video editor-senpai.
All this, I am glad that I was able to delay my blueberry pastry dessert snack to focus, watch, comment, dictate words, interact with viewers on snipe2 + IRC chats.

Really, really dislike this format though. Play one group out, not one match from each group every few days.

This is how the OSL has always done it.
Not to mention more preparation time and potentially more cheese!
To be honest, this day was kind of meh. Mong vs Pure was kind of good but Pure failed so hard with his multi tasking later on. The rest of the games have been insanely one-sided. Especially that last game, Guemchi played like a complete noob. I hope the next day will be better.
I really enjoyed Mong vs Pure and I thought Jangbi vs Free was pretty good too. KH played pretty good at first and his game plan was sound but he just fell apart and didn't seem to have the multitasking to compete with sSak latter on. Guemchi Vs Lava was horfically one sidded and a bit disappointing for me.

Jangbi vs Free was a good game. They were pretty equal until jangbi... well, jangbanged him.

Didn't like it then either. Guessing players like it better though from a preparation standpoint.

Depends on what you mean by played like a complete noob. If you meant he play stupidly greedy given the builds and map architecture then sure. Aside from the WTF level decision of trying to take a 3rd on a downhill ramp off 3 gates/no speed against a zerg playing 5 hatch aggro he played as fine.

I mean like, he didn't use his corsairfleet at all. He didn't use his DTs to defend when no overlord was there. He lost his entire corsairfleet to Hydras because he didn't pay attention. And in the end he slided his complete probeline into 4 Lurkers that have been there for an entire minute. That were the major blunders, of course he had a lot of others blunders as well.
I just don't think Guemchi can handle standard games. I don't think I've ever seen him not attempt to pull off some sort of cheese. Proxy gates, DT rush, totally relying on reaver drops, etc. If he doesn't kill his opponent by catching them off guard with something gimmicky, he loses a straight up macro game.
