I would imagine it's because when you play against random you have to have a completely different mindset as well as playstyle than you would normally. Due to the sheer number of options you may encounter you can't at the beginning know what's coming at you without scouting incredibly early and for the mix of skill levels in the tournament it could be unfair towards certain people. I personally don't care either way since I'm in for the experience, but there's a reason most tournaments don't allow random. | ||
