So whats the deal with the lastgosu? He's a Z player that switches to T when playing a Z? He still plays a T with Z though right? Or switches to P?

Looks like the zvp zvt tvz player, although his tvz is really good if this is the case, considering it is a secondary race sort of.

He was originally (or at least during TLT2) more of T player going tvz tvp tvt. He is good friends with zergstory_namoo so he trains zvt/zvp as of now i guess.

I respect those on SmI. or w/e that don't like the negative comments about "lastgosu," but you have to understand some of the frustration. From my perspective at least (I won't speak for others), as an American BW player, to first have only 1 spot available for our game, and then to have it taken up by someone who is relatively unknown (sorry) who beat everyone's favorite in a final out of nowhere, is just disappointing. From my point of view, here's a breakdown of what happened:
Player A) with the best handle ever was about to go to the world championships and then Player B) with the worst, most cheesy and awful handle ever beat him in really unfortunate circumstances.
So nothing against SMi. , but I don't like this result one bit.
Day[9], ask about pulling a Raven and going to Italy with your own sponsors. PLEASE
|
well i dont think day has his own sponsors :[
|
in my opinion, new champion is better for the community. i think that makes sense but im not going to argue for it. but fans will be fans. anyway, day already tried to "pull a raven" and, since we're not hearing anything about it, im pretty sure it got turned down.
also, i find that the fans are a lot more hateful and negative than the actual players. it was so obvious the whole time that whoever won was going to win by luck. lastgosu got lucky, day would've been lucky if he had won, artosis and i got lucky that we had relatively easy groups(no offense to the other players in our groups but i think it's obvious that the other groups were better). so in general i dont think the players can be that disappointed since nobody got really screwed over. from my observation, there was nobody that really really deserved it. lastgosu is a talented player and he was able to do the job when the pressure was on so i think he'll be just as good, if not better, than some of the other possible candidates
|
bine, the fact that you judge the players based on the ID's they use shows how fickle fans can be. day was not everyone's favorite although he was (rightfully) the favorite of the majority. lastgosu has made efforts with showmatches to become more known and now he participates in WCG (unlike a lot of players) and wins it. he's known now - it has to start somewhere. and as far as you always rooting for the favored player? nobody gives a shit. im sure there's a lot of people that root for the underdog. of course people are gonna play favorites, but the fact that kids here refuse to congratulate the champion is just ridiculous. lastgosu was extremely respectful and mannered the entire time and he always is. if you guys cant respect that then it wont be long until BW community turns into DOA (the guys at WCG know what im talking about...) -_-;;

He was the favorite so what!?!? He wasn't the best on that "day" (haha) clearly fame does not directly correlate to skill. You just prefer the house hold name day[9] because you feel you know him. LastGosu is unfamiliar to you therefore you simply have predetermined feelings about him regardless of his skill level. Your opinions are purely nonsensical and people like you "dumb" down society.

eth was the best player at the tournament judging from the level of skill played in the games. period.

someone making a reppack soon?

I agree 100% with NonY, NerO, and Broken.Mind.
I actually feel like we have the best person possible representing us at the Grand Finals. There's no telling how well he'll do there, although theres no telling how well Day would do there. I'm not going to hesitate to say that Sean is very talented and very skilled, but you can't say that lastgosu isn't good. If he isn't that good and Sean should be the one reping us in Italy then why did he lose? Luck? Thats doubtful. He just got outplayed, and the fact that all the players at the final congratulate him and applaud him for how well he did should solidfy that.
|
Oh, and just to clarify, eth plays ZvT ZvP TvZ. He's been doing this for about 3-4 months now, maybe more. The only MU that he switched to was ZvP instead of TvP, and he already played ZvP quite often.

Of course you all agree, you're all in the same fucking clan.
