What is this? This will be an event for all DRTL players, where fellow players from DRTL and viewers vote for the top 4 players of each race (Protoss, Terran, Zerg) via performance in DRTL Season 4.
When is this? This event will happen the very next week after the finals of DRTL, at 19:00 GMT (+00:00), the same time as the games of DRTL 4.
Where is this? Op DRTL @ iCCup. If you cannot play on iCCup, than we ask you to find a server to play on in either Fish or any of the public servers (ex. USEast, USWest, Asia, Europe)
How will voting work? Voting will work by players/viewers picking the top 4 players of each respective races, and those with the most votes will be asked to play. Voting will end on the Sunday after finals, June 8th, and the 12 players voted to play will be revealed. I will ask each player for preferred matchup/opponent afterwards and reveal the matchups by Wednesday, June 11th.
As 12 players in total will ultimately be playing, each players would be divided up into teams, putting up 6 sets, and if the result becomes 3-3, the series will go into an ace match.
You can pick anyone from the players you truly believe were the strongest performers or your friends, but only players with at least two games played (not counting walkover wins/losses) will be eligible to be voted on. It is perfectly allowed to vote yourself. For those that play multiple races, votes for nominees will only count once towards a player per post (ex. please vote someone that v/v only once)
If a candidate is not available on the date of the game and he/she lets me know beforehand, the player with the next highest amount of votes will receive the spot.
How to play...? As this is an all-star game, I will end up making all the match ups for all of the candidates, and I'm certainly open to suggestions, especially showmatches. An example could be fixing a match between two DRIT winners, such as Shuruken and [BB]KaiGreene, or seeing some type of grudge match come into fruition.
Innovative and cheesy play is strongly recommended for the enjoyment of our viewing.

There are so many strong players now it's hard to even vote. I'd say there are at least 10-15 guys (and gals) that would be deserving of playing in this.

Well, if you don't know which players to vote for, you could always just refer to the Top 10 list, or go to the DRTL 4 thread itself and check out the results of each sets to judge your votes?
As for the Top 10 chart that isn't updated, I'll try and update it all whenever I have the time, which will probably be sometime today...
Seeing as how semifinals aren't even close to over, looks like in 8 days we MIGHT have the finals. So this will probably happen in ~15 days. Ofc, this is assuming Finals/3rd place match also don't get PP'd for another week.

This is going to be a 6v6 team game right? In this case, I think being too random would be bad as we should have even race distribution. Maybe doing a combination of race split and votes would work? For example, #1 zerg and #4 voted zerg go on Team 1, and #2,#3 go on Team 2. Since this is just a fun showmatch-like thing, if there is a 3-way tie, I think it's fine to just do something simple like take names from a hat. I don't think anyone would feel "cheated" in such a situation. One complication that might occur would be a tie for the 4th place spot.

I also didn't really explain this... I really dunno how I'll go along with the race-pickers. I'll just have them categorized in the race that they play the most of, as none of the players race-pick two matchups.
And as for team suggestions, maybe I'll decide on some of the suggestions you guys give me. So far, I'm leaning towards something like what BaBo suggested...

If matchups are preset I don't really see the purpose of having captains. They could be organizational conduits, but for something like this I feel like it'd be more efficient simply to have individual players submit their replays. That way you also create individual responsibility in case certain replays are missing.
I don't really have a strong opinion on what the matchups should be. I think Babo's suggestion is fine.
Unless there are requested matchups/requested players that anyone wants, I guess the default setup will be the preset matchups with non-mirrors. Again, I'm open to suggestions!

Unfortunately, as this is really, more or less, just event showmatches, postponements are strongly discouraged, unless it's just an hour or two earlier/later than the actual play time.
So just wondering, what should I do with ties, or in this case, 3 way ties?

In the case of an ace match, should all players in the team stay? How will we do this - playing all matches at once then determine the ace players?
EDIT: I would also like to mention that New Bloody Ridge is the wrong map on the most recent ICCup map pack 2.5.
The choke in the Iccup version is smaller than the New Bloody Ridge version as you can see in the picture.
That said... the wind and cloud iccup uses is 0.99 which is technically incorrect as I believe Sospa uses 1.2. I forgot the differences though. :/ rofl

Third is way different on 1.2/Neo W&C. Harder to bust with hydras, so it's probably more balanced technically

Grow up and stop talking shit about me, I had nothing to do with this. I told him the time, linked him the thread, and got his confirmation that he is coming, and posted so in the thread. Considering that you tried to cheat your votes, I think it's only fair that you didn't get to play, and you probably would have lost anyway.
Also, since you don't seem to respond to PMs, please send the GM replays to Nagisama, since I don't have the full rep pack (because I disconnected G2). Maybe if it's made public that you're too ashamed to send the replays to Nagisama, you will man up and actually do it.

I was just trying to have fun, and the all star games werent really serious, weird strats were ENCOURAGED. And i made a fool of myself? Not really lol i had tons of fun, and my strategy wasnt shitty, scout are damn OP dude. It was all in good manner ^^

Hydras in zvt are badass in general though, I wish someone casted my game vs Nagisama, that was a fun game.
