I wish Ace put up a better fight tonight, but Stars is definitely one of the top teams this season so it would've been an uphill battle anyways. Soulkey still seemed scary ever since rumors of his GM account surfaced. Shy was the only player to win one of the KeSPA vs GSL cross-matches against Ace. ZerO and Light are also no pushovers in SC2.

Are you sure? According to the Liquipedia page, Ace is playing Khan and Woongjin is playing STX next on the 11th, and Team 8 doesn't play until the 12th, which is against SKT1.

This match was sad to watch, was summarised pretty well by the one girl in the crowd doing the fighting chant for ace in the most timid voice ever.

Ace are never the favourites or anything but they just kinda rolled over and died today. I guess knowing there isn't exactly a future for them after this season would weigh on you a bit.
