Feel sad for Fanta, he was a good player, but only ended up with a single title. Comparing the two careers before this final, I would have said that of the two of them Fanta deserved a 2nd major win more. Jangbi's awesome comeback from how terrible he was to a back to back OSL winner is a great storyline though. Just can't believe it's over. =/ Glad that this was a part of my life. GGs all.

Games 3 and 4 were ridiculously one-sided. Jangbi showed high level decision making by exploting the holes in Fantasy's defense with reavers and dark templars. And by elevating units into Fantasy's base as well. Jangbi's individual unit control was damned good, too.

Oh, and a condolence applause for fantasy: 3 consecutive OSL final appearances is no small feat. Two years ago, he also had 3 consecutive semifinal appearances (including two finals). Factor in his 4 OSL silvers, and that's now two things he's matched Boxer at ![]()

It's really scary knowing that he was only three games away from four gold medals...damn..

In Incruit, he had a puncher's chance to take game 5 against Stork (if only for Stork's inability to scout the 9oclock), and in JinAir, he looked so close to winning in game 5 and then Jangbi went beast mode. So he was really thisclose to 3 golds at least lol And in Batoo against Jaedong, he just kind of tilted.

Now that BW is over, my mind is filled with hundreds of what ifs.

It would have been interesting to see if Jangbi would have continued to dominate and win a gold mouse. Fantasy was the one dominating for the last stretch of BW's history, but Jangbi stopped him at the end. He was 28-4 since Proleague began, which is an iloveoov-esque streak, and overtook Flash's spot as best player (who slumped to 60% after getting Dear'd). It's just that he choked hard when it mattered. Jangbi's OSL wins were 11 months apart, so it's not accurate to call him dominating--especially when he went 8-10 in Proleague and was about 60% over the same stretch as Fantasy. So Fanta was the more dominant player over the last months, crushing nearly everyone (had a perfect OSL run, 2 stray Proleague losses), until he lost the finals and put Jangbi in the history books as the last champion.

I don't think there is a requirement that someone dominate BW at all times. As Fanta came out of the last two BW tournies with 0 golds I would hesitate to say he dominated. At the same time I agree with your assessment of Flash and Jangbi, Flash did well in the last real PL but failed in the finals and won no tournaments - clearly did not dominate. Jangbi did win the last two tournies but was was lackluster in PL, I don't think he dominated. Seems to me that after Flash's last MSL victory the scene was not dominated by anyone. Ranking is subjective but I think that since Flash's last MSL I would rank the players: 1) Fanta 1) Jangbi 3) Flash If push came to shove I think I may give Fanta the edge at the end. Losing twice to Jangbi hurts his case greatly, but he was by far and away the most reliably good player.

He is the best player of all time then would get 3-0's by someone or drop from OSL against Classic. I guess he would have absolutely raped Jangbi, but again, I guessed he would raped Jangbi last time too, and I also guessed he would rape Fantasy. So what I've learnt from Flash: don't guess too much. It's unhealthy. :-)
