Thank you for all your work. I'll definitely tune in to your casting at the finals.

P.S. Writing a blog about what happened today at the venue.

This. This is eSport, the genuine emotions that the Koreans show for one of the biggest past time activities is amazing. It is OK Kim Carrier, it is OK to show emotions and to cry for what we love, what has brought us enjoyment for such a long time now, and still will as we revisit the old VODs and become nostalgic. It is OK Kim Carrier, Because what you and the other guys made SC:BW has allowed the opportunity for eSports to grow out of proportions. If you had asked anyone 12-15 years ago where they thought eSports today would be in 10-15 years, Hell even 5, then there would only have been a few people who would even dream of what we have today. Only through the works of people such as you have we been able to go beyond even the wildest imaginations, and into the today.

It is OK Kim Carrier, we might not be in your shoes completely, but we grew up as the first generation who had access to eSports when ever we wanted, sure it existed before that, but not like this. We have had so much enjoyment, rage, tears as our favorite players lost, happiness and some of us has even become almost religious when it comes to defending our players, our teams, our favorite casters. Even though we might be drawing to an end, we all know that the memories that we have gained along the way will never be lost.

And one day when my grandchildren are watching eSports on television, or on the internet or whatever they might have in the future, and watch as their favorite players or teams win or lose and start to ask where it, eSports, came from; Ill tell them how it all begun in a land far far away, long before their time. And I will tell them the stories, the drama, the creation of OGN and MBCGame, the tales of the majestic OSL and the Proleague. Then I will dig out the old VODs and show them the rise of Boxer, the legend of Saviour, the games of the Dreamer, NaDa and Iloveoov. The 6 dragons, not to mention the Ultimate weapon Flash and his games (and so many more). And when all is done, I shall remember what a beautiful time it was, and to illustrate the whole picture I will find this picture and tell them: This. This is eSports.

man. Missed the games, but caught the pretty quick Vods from EsportTV.

I'm going to fly to Korea for the final, and have been pulling for Jangbi since the beginning. Although I really like Zero, this is JANGBANGER'S OSL. Now at least we are all but guarenteed a good final, no matter who wins.

Was fisting pumping pretty hard and yelling a bit. Thought all was really lost there, and my trip would be much less purposeful. I'm really happy right now.

All aboard the HSY fanboat/train/ whatever form of transportation you desire!! Everyday is Sojin day

Think of the honor guys, we are going to witness the last bw tournament. Only negative thing for me is that it isnt a jaedong vs flash finals
This is where we begin. Show your true self, Battosai.

This series today just made me a broodwar fanatic completely. I've started out with sc2, but watching broodwar for the past few months have just really made me feel the intensity and the depth of the BW, and how one video game made over a decade ago can evolve and affect so many emotions and lives. As much as I love sc2, Broodwar has come to a point where it's something more than just a video game we play; some one said earlier a "culture". I'd love to see sc2 reach that point one day, but man, it's going to be nearly impossible. I've been playing more broodwar than sc2 recently..it's pretty funny lol.

Broodwar forever!

Well, Set 5 is probably the best PvZ I've ever watched on any map/league.

The biggest regret I have is that everybody whose careers so closely revolved around broodwar (Mainly broadcasters, players, commentators) somehow pays a hefty price for it. For me, the golden age of electronic sports have past - there's just too many uncertainties and (personal) doubts I have with it now.

And solely for this I wish korean esports the best in the future.
SC2 is to BW, what coke is to wine.

Game 5 past 20 minute mark the hell unleashed for like 8 minutes, just watched the games. Whole series was not better than JD vs Snow but game 5 and comeback in 4th make up for this.

Just re watched the vods - and the decided to pay my mother a visit.
I walked in to her house with a giddy smile on my face.

Her: What's the matter with you?

Me: I just saw one of the most amazing Zerg vs Protoss series ever, on a computer game that was released 14 years ago. For the second time.

Her: What?

Excellent post

Good: SC2 helped bring more fans (not a lot but some) to BW.
Sad: This is the last dance

It's during game 5, at the beginning of the game.

Thanks... my bad. Was semi watching at work - and re-watching when I got home, but stupidly fast forwarded to the game. Thought it was after game 5.
