Remember that none of these progamers have ever had a career before BW, and they have never had to make a transition like this in life. Moving on from BW is nothing like the usual midlife crisis people have. These guys have limited experience and education, and cannot really market themselves to a new career except for SC2 or another esport, and for many its hard not to ask, "Why should I become a progamer again?" For some of them, the right answer is probably that they shouldn't be a progamer again, and that a hard thing for a fan to hear, or for a player to come to grips with. I don't think I've ever read a tournament thread before or written a post in one that has made me this sad, but such are the times we live in. After that other Zerg broke my heart, JD was my broodwar swarm hero, and I will support him no matter what. Jaedong Fighting!

Eh, to be fair, Boxer declined already in BW and he's not exactly a world-beater in SC2 either. He's declined just like the rest of them. Though his social standing in SC still remains pretty damn strong.

Poor guy, never felt like he recovered from his "victory" in the Always loved watching the dong play. Almost hard to imagine having what will, to my mind, be the last OSL ever without him there. It just doesn't feel right. Good luck Jaedong. Fighting!
