Such a long delay, I feel for the players. The audience seems frustrated as well.

Going to take a break and get some food.

Hope this demoralizes SKT.

1-6 would surely be demoralizing. I hope they'll win the next set though, the third set is always exciting.
But if they don't, Dual Silvers isn't bad at all.

It's Bo5, so this might take awhile.

I'm curious about the balance of these maps. It seems that one side (usually the blue side) has a huge advantage. This wouldn't be a problem since they switch sides after 5 shootouts... except when there is a tiebreaker. So it would seem one team would have some X% advantage over the other based purely on which side they started at.

I suppose they would then swap starting-sides in the next map, but then the value of X would also be different for different maps. And eventually with odd number of maps there is still gonna be a tiebreaker which may give one team another advantage.

So who chooses the map order and how much did they consider all of these factors?

not sure how it is in SF2 but in counter strike tiebreakers are 3 rounds on each side, so both teams has the same amount of rounds on each side. If it is a tie again, there is another tiebreaker. The finals for CS at copenhagen games today had 4 tiebreakers

I watched some previous matches, including the (semis?) CJ vs KT. It seems tiebreakers are simply just one more round/shootout. So in this case it seems one team really has a huge advantage.

Although I'm also perplexed, cos depending on which two teams are playing, the same map could sometimes be a 5-0 for the blue side (whichever of the two teams are playing that side atm) and for another two teams it could become a more even 3-2 for the blue side (again for both teams playing that side).

Tried to find some thread on TL that discusses this (are there timing attacks, gambits, different strats/gun combis that counter each other?) but couldn't find any.

Each round is completely independent from the previous, so an advantage on one side is, well..., just that: an advantage.
In CS, they would do the 3 round, switch, 3 round thing. In SF1, i believe they played another match on the map with a lower round count. However, i'm not sure about SF1 since Baezzi's account got deleted.

Yeah I get that they are independent. Just thinking that if team A plays blue wins 5 times for 5-0, and then plays red loses 5 times for 5-5, as a spectator it doesn't feel "fair" that they're gonna be playing the tiebreaker for 1 more time as red again (and I seem to see this quite abit). The method you describe for CS seems fairer.

Dumb question (sorry if it has already been asked) - is the final just a bo1 or is it a bo3 like the other playoff stages?

CJ 2-0 SKT
That long delay due to disconnections might be made up by a quick 3-0 or 3-1 win for CJ.
Edit: It's my first time watching SF2 live and it's really exciting. Btw, SKT Lost to STX in the SF2 PL finals last year right?

Does anyone know if they'll do interviews straight after the game like they did during the season?

I suppose it will attract heaps more viewers since it's on a good korean timeslot. Fantasy is the player I'm expecting most from. He should be able to beat everyone on the KT bench.

Try EsportsTV on youtube.

Is this another delay in the SF2 final? Geesh.

No worries, you gotta get separate tickets for SC and SF2 finals. SF league typically has fewer spectators.
