Hope this demoralizes SKT.

1-6 would surely be demoralizing. I hope they'll win the next set though, the third set is always exciting.
But if they don't, Dual Silvers isn't bad at all.
Edit: Ahh... I thought this is Bo3.

I'm curious about the balance of these maps. It seems that one side (usually the blue side) has a huge advantage. This wouldn't be a problem since they switch sides after 5 shootouts... except when there is a tiebreaker. So it would seem one team would have some X% advantage over the other based purely on which side they started at.

I suppose they would then swap starting-sides in the next map, but then the value of X would also be different for different maps. And eventually with odd number of maps there is still gonna be a tiebreaker which may give one team another advantage.

So who chooses the map order and how much did they consider all of these factors?

not sure how it is in SF2 but in counter strike tiebreakers are 3 rounds on each side, so both teams has the same amount of rounds on each side. If it is a tie again, there is another tiebreaker. The finals for CS at copenhagen games today had 4 tiebreakers

I tried to find the news bulletin on DES about the map order but DES search function not available.

Very disappointing for players and fans, all these disconnections. I hope there are no technical problems for the SC final.

If there are technical problems for the SC final too I think we can claim some sort of esports conspiracy going on tonight.

Lol what if there'll be a power outage during the Ace match, and Kespa just gave the win to the one with the advantage.

The T1 SF2 team is probably thinking about that now, since they've been most affected by these problems. T1 coach looks pissed off.

Edit:
Not Kespa's fault though, OGN is responsible for setting up the equipment.

I watched some previous matches, including the (semis?) CJ vs KT. It seems tiebreakers are simply just one more round/shootout. So in this case it seems one team really has a huge advantage.

Although I'm also perplexed, cos depending on which two teams are playing, the same map could sometimes be a 5-0 for the blue side (whichever of the two teams are playing that side atm) and for another two teams it could become a more even 3-2 for the blue side (again for both teams playing that side).

Tried to find some thread on TL that discusses this (are there timing attacks, gambits, different strats/gun combis that counter each other?) but couldn't find any.

Each round is completely independent from the previous, so an advantage on one side is, well..., just that: an advantage.
In CS, they would do the 3 round, switch, 3 round thing. In SF1, i believe they played another match on the map with a lower round count. However, i'm not sure about SF1 since Baezzi's account got deleted.
