The point is if your build allows for a terran to take a 3rd at a fast timing the max push always favors terran. So protoss has to wither down the ball by throwing waves of units at it. Or protoss can try to break terran by throwing waves of units at it. Either way, to do that you need good eco

In theory. I never see that actually working. Waste of resources, lack if tech, lack of harass, nothing but a bunch of expansions.

Your eco is spread out so terran can't kill it fast enough with the remnants of the army that remains.
Of course, it relies on the protoss trading decently with the terran in the first battle, and having some bank. Jangbi engaged terribly and Flash pushed early enough and did enough harass to negate some of Jangbi's eco.

That entire strategy relies on terran killing you. Do you understand what I'm getting at?

The terran army can't kill you fast enough because you're everywhere. If he doesn't manage his army correctly, you'll overwhelm his push and you will be even or ahead on bases. Then taking and defending expansions becomes difficult for terran after the push. Think of the protoss like a (greek mythology) hydra at this point: terran has to cut off all the heads at once or he's in trouble.

That doesn't make sense. If a protoss "has" to have a 4:1 base ratio against terran just to survive, there is nothing stopping terran from taking 1 more base while the protoss rebuilds his nexuses, and more importantly his infrastructure. If resources and supply weren't being spend on having double the worker count as terran, maybe protoss wouldn't have to rely on having a million bases to survive.

Have you looked at the map. Taking that extra base means half your army has to camp there to keep it from being harassed. Terran has no viable harassment options against late game toss, late game toss has multiple viable harassment options.

After a protoss barely survives the destruction of all his bases, he really cannot afford to go and immediately harass. Otherwise it would turn into an all in. Meanwhile, terran mines everything up while he replenishes his tank count.

That's very true about awful back-and-forth games. The thing is we crave suspense. If there is no suspense. It's sort of a dead game to me. Action's control and play was great, don't get me wrong but TurN's control was equally dreadful and to be frank he did look like a headless chicken in not knowing what to do.

Even if the game is one sided it does not mean it does not have suspens, because you won't know it's one sided before it's over (I'm not talking about bo wins).
Plus there are other thing than suspens when watching bw, thank god.

Welp, Hoejja's nat finishes, he's opting for lair now too, 6 lings come to his nat, his 6 lings come out unbalanced, 1 dies for nothits to the back nat, but he gets a better arc - retreast
2 lings attacking Hoejja's nat, 2 new lings there win

Shine has ling speed but his lings get surrounded and lose anyways
