He worked out the timing he wanted to hit at (drones transferred and 1 used on the extractor without really paying for themselves), just headbutting into every one of action's scourge in the initial engage cost effort big time.
Well it's not like Effort even had any sort of major unit advantage (if one at all!) No point in hitting a timing when you don't have an army advantage.
